LOOKS LIKE IT'S GOING TO BE SHOVEL TIME IN THE MORNING

With cold grey skies dominating the morning it was quite a tussle I had trying to shove myself out the door.  But, shove I did and quite reluctantly made the crunchy-snow walk to the stonecold Jeep.  Needless to say, I didn't go far or stay out too long.  A couple country blocks and that was it.  Snapped a few pics for the blog and I was soon home again.  Every time I return now Pheebs is right at the door and so excited to see me with her wagging tail nearly flying right off.

SNOWBOATS

After re-stocking the bird feeders and re-setting our outside night-lights timer I headed into the nice warm house.  With days getting longer now I had to switch the timer from a month ago 'lights-on' at 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. now.  Another sure sign we are steadily heading in the welcome direction of Spring.

THIS GAL DOESN'T NEED A HORSE BLANKET BECAUSE HER WARM AND TOASTY BLANKET IS HOMEGROWN
Finished my 'Legacy From The Stars' book a few days ago and am well into my next read, 'The Convoluted Universe Book Two'.  My kindle reader doesn't go by page numbers but by time.  This book starts off as a twenty-six-hour read.  It's no wonder my eyes dry out and I doze off so often in the afternoons.

Snowing heavily at the time of posting this tonight so it looks like it will be shovel time in the morning.

GROANER'S CORNER:(( I had the toughest time of my life. First, I got angina pectoris and then arteriosclerosis. Just as I was recovering from these, I got tuberculosis, double pneumonia, and phthisis.  Then they gave me hypodermic.  Appendicitis was followed by tonsillectomy. These gave way to aphasia and hypertrophic cirrhosis. I completely lost my memory for a while. I know I had diabetes and acute ingestion, besides gastritis, rheumatism, lumbago, and neuritis...I don't know how I pulled through it. It was the hardest spelling test I've ever had.

  1. Oh my! I don't envy you one bit. Glad the sun is out one hour longer. The white photos are pretty, I say from the warm southwest 😊

  2. Hey Al, I have an old dog who won't use a ramp and she loves her Pet Gear Easy Step Cat & Dog Stair. It's not really a stair, but more like a small ramp/step combo. It doesn't seem very high, but it lets her get in my SV with no problems. They have it at Petco and Chewy.com, around $60 US. A real lifesaver. Here's a link:

    1. Hey Chinle, nice to hear from you again. Thanks for pointing us in the right direction regarding easier access into the Jeep for Pheebs. We are going to go with something very similar to what you have. Pheebs is okay with going up and down steps so we've ordered a 2 step kind of thing. We'll see if it works. Thanks again:))

  4. Mighty fine pictures water and ice. We decided to get a Class B 23 foot Sprinter van with a mercies diesel. A camper for Alaska and Canada YT. We are driving it from Florida, military base to military base hopefully enjoying the four month trip. It is easy to drive and fits in a car parking spot. Just needed a change. Take care Al.

    1. That sounds like a great way to go Tom. If we could afford one of those we would probably get one.
