'OH DEAR' I'VE BEEN TAKING A FEW SNEEK PEAKS AT THE NEWS AGAIN

PHEEBS AND I TOOK SCOOTER OUT FOR A DRIVE EARLY THIS AFTERNOON
Sooooo nice to hear Peeper Frogs these last couple of nights.  Probably one of the greatest sounds of Spring right up there with the chirping of Robins.  The Peeper sounds come from the Park's pond area and not long ago mainly came from the slightly swampy dead-end road just around the corner from us.  However, that area has been bulldozed so a lot of the Peepers over there are not peeping anymore:((

NICE TO SEE  SPRING WILDFLOWERS BLOOMING AGAIN

 LAST YEARS MILKWEED POD
 COLTSFOOT FLOWER
SPRING IS BEGINNING TO BUST OUT ALL OVER
Cloudy start to the day but that's okay, at least our temperatures have come up and that's the biggy for most folks this time of year.  We went to Goderich and back this morning to pick up a prescription as well as a few groceries.  Every time I say 'we' I mean Pheebs and I unless otherwise stated.

A DOGGY WALK EAST OF GODERICH THIS MORNING
LOOKS LIKE A FULL CREW WORKING ON GODERICH'S BOARDWALK
OUR FOR A CRUISE IN THE RIG WE STOPPED AT BUBBA'S HOUSE BUT HE WASN'T HOME
'I WAS REALLY HOPING TO SEE MY PAL BUBBA DAD'
Spent the afternoon cleaning up flower beds and it was the first afternoon walk of the year in a short-sleeve shirt.  We actually topped 70F today.  Finally:))

SPRING IS SPROUTING IN OUR FLOWER GARDENS
MAMA AND PAPA DUCK (MALLARD) ARE STILL AT THE PARK'S POND
Here's a You Tube about a recent demolition project at Goderich's salt mine.  Might be of interest to some local folks around here.  And here's an update on the plans for Goderich's beach this summer....Sand, Sun, and Surf.

I THINK THESE GIRLS OF SUMMER ARE GEARING UP FOR SOME OF THAT SAND, SUN, AND SURF SOON
Almost hate to admit this but I have been taking a few sneak peeks at the news again.  'Oh Dear' is about all I can say..............

WE SOMETIMES SEE FAIRIES COMING AND GOING FROM THIS ENTRANCE IN OUR FRONT FLOWER BED
GROANER'S CORNER:(( A farmer purchases an old, run-down, abandoned farm with plans to turn it into a thriving enterprise. The fields are grown over with weeds, the farmhouse is falling apart, and the fences are collapsing all around.  During his first day of work, the town preacher stops by to bless the man's work, saying, "May you and God work together to make this the farm of your dreams!"  A few months later, the preacher stops by again to call on the farmer. Lo and behold, it's like a completely different place--the farm house is completely rebuilt and in excellent condition, there are plenty of cattle and other livestock happily munching on feed in well-fenced pens, and the fields are filled with crops planted in neat rows.  "Amazing!" the preacher says. "Look what God and you have accomplished together!"  "Yes, reverend," says the farmer, "but remember what the farm was like when God was working it alone!"

  3. My father never paid any attention to the news. He said his life was happier that way! Personally, I believe in skimming the headlines online and reading further into anything that interests me. But watching the news on television? Huge waste of time, in my opinion.
