IT MAY BE A REACTION TO THE THE PFIZER VACCINE SHOT I HAD

A TOAD IN OUR FRONT YARD TOAD POND
An absolutely gorgeously beautiful day with clear skies, warm lite winds, and temps topping 80F.  An afternoon walk had me sweating and I thought the Sun was going to set my shirt on fire.  Needless to say, we have our fans running full tilt.  The first couple hours today were fine but after that my energy level quickly drained away and it did not turn out to be one of my better days.  It may be a reaction to the Pfizer Covid Vaccine shot I had Monday afternoon.  Tonight I'm feeling like an old wet dishrag.

I LIKE PERIWINKLE AND WE HAVE LOTS OF IT HERE
NICE TO SEE CREEK WATER GREENING UP THE FOREST BANKS AGAIN
NEIGHBORS OUT AND ABOUT ON THE WARMEST DAY OF THE YEAR SO FAR
WHEN ONE LIVES IN A PINE FOREST THERE ARE ALWAYS LOTS OF PINE NEEDLES TO BE RAKED UP
CONSTRUCTION MONSTERS CONTINUE TO CHEW UP THE FOREST
SAW A COUPLE MORE PAINTED TURTLES SUNNING THEMSELVES IN THE PARK'S POND TODAY

THIS MALLARD COUPLE ARE STILL STICKING AROUND
Pheebs and I did take Scooter for another drive and stopped by Bubba's house again but Bubba must have been out for a morning drive with Mom and Dad because Richard's van was gone.

ALMOST PLOWED INTO THIS GOBBLE OF TURKEYS THIS MORNING
LUCKILY WE WERE GOING SLOW ENOUGH AND I WAS ABLE TO GET A FEW PHOTOS GOING BY

Looks like we have a rainstorm heading our way which will be good for the grass seed I spread around Wednesday.  I hope you all remember that it is April showers which bring May flowers.

GROANER'S CORNER:((  A man is driving down a country road when he spots a farmer standing in the middle of a huge field of grass. He pulls the car over to the side of the road and notices that the farmer is just standing there, doing nothing, looking at nothing.  The man gets out of the car, walks all the way out to the farmer and asks him, "Ah excuse me mister, but what are you doing?  The farmer replies, "I'm trying to win a Nobel Prize."  "How?" asks the man, puzzled.  "Well, I heard they give the Nobel Prize to people who are out standing in their field."

  1. Love the pictures as always.
Kathy felt run down since her Pfizer Vaccine last Friday. I get mine on Saturday.

  2. I do like toads! Thanks. I should look up the price of pine needles which are coveted mulch in Texas. VERY pricey. We do have pine needles shed every year down here, over in the eastern part. But my goodness, just stunning to buy some.

  3. Toads and turtles - love them all! Always something to be shoveling when you live in the seasons.

  4. Could very be from your shot. I had my second one Tue. morning while I'm not one of the most energetic I have been more tired. But forced myself to ride my bike. Only side effect so far is a rash at the injection site. So happy I'm done, will still wear a mask when I go out.

  5. Its more likely a couple of days sweating a lot more than you have been. You went from cold to hot and you need to drink more fluids. It sounds like dehydration to me.

  6. 80 wow. You're as warm as Florida. We got Moderna, the first shot made me sleepy tired and no side effects for the second shot. Though my arm hurt like the devil for days for both. Where are you thinking of going for your first motor home trip of the year?

  7. That's a good question Teri, we hadn't discussed it yet but I have been organizing the RV for when we do. Our weather will stabilize soon so I guess we had better get our traveling hats dusted off.

  8. I have enjoyed your blog for years. I love that you both "just do it". I would like permission, if possible, from you to use the first toad picture in a piece of quilt art I want to make. That picture just sums up all that is real about aging - wisdom - endurance - changes - all of it! Thank you!

  9. Hi Carol, yes you can use that Toad photo. I always feel good when someone likes one of my photos and can find a good purpose for it. Thanks for hanging in there as a long time blog reader. It is people like you who give people like me inspiration to keep on blogging:))
