I COULD SEE RIGHT AWAY THERE WAS A BIG PROBLEM IN GRAND BEND ONTARIO THIS MORNING

 PALS
Clicking on the Grand Bend Yacht Club's harbor cam at first light this morning I could see right away that they had themselves a big problem happening there at the river mouth.  For a small community on the shores of Lake Huron, this was very serious.

 DID YA SEE BERNIE??
Despite weather predictions of a possible nasty winter-like day I was surprised to see no snow on the ground and a clear sky sunrise.  However, it didn't take long for that to change.  It was my turn to drive this morning so I picked Richard up at 9 a.m. and we headed off down highway 21 to Grand Bend Ontario to have a look at their current harbor problem.  With a few lite snow flurries in the Bend we slowly cruised around looking at this and that.  Rolled out into the countryside in a wide country arc before heading north for home.  Winds picked up and brought blowing snow in off the lake.  Fairly heavy at times but not a threat and we were able to hang onto our visibility okay.  All and all, another nice morning sipping coffee, eating a Tim Horton's 'fruit explosion' muffin, and chatting ourselves up a storm.

HAVING JUST DROPPED RICHARD OFF I AM HEADING HOME
I was home again about 11:30.  Too cold to do anything outside so it was an inside afternoon.  By the weekend we will be slipping back into more acceptable Spring-like weather.
OUR PARK ENTRANCE IS LOOKING QUITE EASTERY
Thanks to everyone for all the best wishes on Kelly's birthday a few days ago.  Much appreciated here at the Bayfield Bunch:))
A FEW PICS AROUND OUR FRONT YARD THIS AFTERNOON
GROANER'S CORNER:(( Overheard on an American Airlines flight into Amarillo, Texas, on a particularly windy and bumpy day:  During the final approach, the Captain was really having to fight it. After an extremely hard landing, the Flight Attendant said, "Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to Amarillo. Please remain in your seats with your seat belts fastened while the Captain taxis what's left of our airplane to the gate.
- And from the pilot during his welcome message: "Delta airlines is pleased to have some of the best flight attendants in the
industry. Unfortunately, none of them are on this flight!"
"Your seat cushions can be used for flotation, and, in the event of an emergency water landing, please paddle to shore and take them with you with our compliments."
"Weather at our destination is 50 degrees with some broken clouds, but we'll try to have them fixed before we arrive. Thank you, and remember, nobody loves you, or your money, more than Southwest Airlines."

  2. Oh. Ha. You do need some better weather. Then you wouldn't be back inside for the afternoon doing a pastiche to confuse us for a moment. Or two.

  4. I am glad too see that the Ever Given made it out of the Suez Canal and made it to Grand Bend. Meanwhile Bernie Sanders sits there waiting to see if Mitt Romney is going to show up to open up his cottage. Lucky for you to snap the photos!
