SUNDAY.....A BASIC REPEAT OF SATURDAY

THE TUGBOAT OCEAN A SIMARD HEADS OUT INTO COLD CHOPPY LAKE HURON WATERS THIS MORNING
Temps climbed above freezing in the night leaving us with a slightly foggy morning.  A heavy cloud cover stayed with us all day.  Pheebs and I did a routine run to Goderich and back and that was about it.  My Sunday afternoon was a repeat of my Saturday afternoon with an added walk for Pheebs and I along our Park's pine tree trail.

 AFTERNOON WALK
Five years ago on December 21rst 2015 Pheebs and I were in California's Blair Valley west of Borrego Springs on another one of our mile-high climbs up Ghost Mountain to the ruins of the Marshal South Homestead.

GROANER'S CORNER:((    Shortly before Christmas, a businessman was anxious to get home. The business trip had been grueling and he was not in a particularly good mood. The airport loudspeakers blared Christmas carols he was sick of hearing. He thought their decorations were tacky. The worst decoration, he thought, was the plastic mistletoe hung over the luggage scale.  Being in a grumpy mood, he said to the woman at the counter, "You know, even if I weren't married, I wouldn't kiss you."  "That's not what it's there for," said the attendant. "It's so you can kiss your luggage goodbye.

It’s been raining for days now and my husband seems very depressed by it. He keeps standing by the window, staring.  If it continues, I’m going to have to let him in.

  1. Nice to see you had an outing, not one that you might prefer, but still...
I think I called your lake Huron a few posts back. It's Ontario, right? Geez. I am SO bad on geography. Well, I do know that Superior is on top, and Michigan stretches on down there, but Huron and Ontario kind of get mixed up. Erie is the farthest east, Right? don't worry, I can look this up. Sad.

    1. You were close:)) Lake Ontario is furthest East, then Lake Erie to the West, north to Lake Huron and Lake Michigan and finally furthest north is Lake Superior. We are on the east side of Lake Huron across from the State of Michigan.

  2. It looks really cold on the water, but with the snow nearly gone it looks much warmer! If football weren't on, I wouldn't know it was Sunday :-)

  3. You can take solace in the fact that everyone is in the same boat this year. We get out for something every day but on the whole we're staying in too and it's much warmer here (although we're under a snowfall warning at the moment). I've started re-watching the X-files on Amazon Prime - I'm on Season 1 Episode 11 of 11 Seasons.... should keep my occupied for awhile. :D Hang in there Al, the New Year is upon us. Love to Kelly and Pheebs too.
