ONTARIO GOING INTO FULL LOCK-DOWN CHRISTMAS EVE

It was officially announced today by the Ontario Government that because of rising Covid numbers Ontario will be going into a total lock-down beginning at midnight Christmas Eve.  That lockdown will last until January 29th.  Only essential businesses will remain open.  The lockdown shouldn't affect Kelly and I too much.  We're not in the habit of socializing a lot or eating in restaurants anyway.  I'm in agreement with the masking rules so anytime I have to go where groups of people are (grocery store etc) I do my part by masking up.  I figure it's better to be part of the solution than part of the problem.  It's simply called common sense.

I DIDN'T TAKE ANY PHOTOS TODAY BUT I HAVE A FEW PICS THAT NEVER MADE IT INTO MY BLOG THIS PAST COUPLE WEEKS...THESE SHIP PICS WERE TAKEN DEC 5TH

THE SHIP IS BEING LOADED AT THE GODERICH GRAIN ELEVATORS
 CREW MEMBERS MONITORING THE LOADING
POWERFUL LIGHTS ON ONE OF THE MASTS
Hadn't planned on going back to Goderich today but needing a few things we won't be able to get for a month Pheebs and I were on our way.  One of the things was another magnetic key holder in case I again lock myself out of the Jeep.

I HAVE BEEN NOTICING THIS FELLOW AT THE ROTARY COVE BEACH AREA PICKING UP TRASH FOR AWHILE NOW

It was a cloudy but brighter 37F day with no wind so when home again I did some leaf and pine needle raking.  By the looks of this week's weather forecast, we will probably end up with a white Christmas.

LOOKS LIKE THIS MONDAY MORNING SANTA HAD A ROUGH WEEK-END
Well, here we are at the Winter Solstice with this being the shortest day of the year.  Brighter days ahead eh:))  We are completely clouded in so my chance of getting any photos of the planets Jupiter and Saturn in conjunction with each other are nil:((  I'll try again in 2080 when the next 'super close' conjunction happens again.

  2. Interesting timing for the lockdown. I'm guessing it doesn't effect travel or they would have started it 24 hours later! We're certainly heading that way here with our numbers out of sight. LOL at your rough weekend Santa!

  3. I tried to take pictures tonight but something is wrong with my camera and I am beside myself. It won't zoom and then I have trouble bringing it back in. I have bought new batteries thinking that was the trouble the last time I used :(

  4. Enjoying all of your posts. More lockdowns, it won't be long before the world is totally locked down or worse. All we can do is look out for ourselves and live each day to the fullest. Love your cartoons.

  6. While Canada uses common sense Montana's new governor is doing away with the mask mandate and everything is open. We too wear our masks and avoid going shopping. Eating out - not happening. Merry Christmas to your house from the Dixons.
