A WELCOME CHANGE INDEED

After our recent spate of rather gloomy and damp depressing wet weather how nice this morning to finally see clear skies and feel warm sunshine.  When Kelly pulled back the drapes shortly after 6 a.m. and said she could see a bright star I knew our lingering cloud cover had dissipated and she was looking at the planet, Venus.  An orange pinkish sunrise filtering through our tall pine trees soon followed and my spirits were lifted.  A welcome change indeed:))

EMPTY GRAIN WAGON IN MORNING'S SHADOW
Sure am liking these cooler days.  My Nurse Practitioner phoned Thursday with my recent blood test results and I guess I'm doing not to bad.  A few little things but nothing serious.  My Diabetes lady called this morning and it looks like I'm doing reasonably well in that department too.  So, despite my complaining at times, I guess I'm still in better shape than I thought I was.

GROANER'S CORNER:((  A man is driving down a country road when he spots a farmer standing in the middle of a huge field of grass. He pulls the car over to the side of the road and notices that the farmer is just standing there, doing nothing, looking at nothing.  The man gets out of the car, walks all the way out to the farmer and asks him, "Ah excuse me mister, but what are you doing?"  The farmer replies, "I'm trying to win a Nobel Prize."  "How?" asks the man, puzzled.  "Well, I heard they give the Nobel Prize to people who are out standing in their field.

  2. I'm envious of your cooler and wetter weather although I'm sure that before long we'll have the more desirable temps :-) Love the wagon.

  3. "I guess I'm in better shape than I thought I was." Ha. Always a surprise, isn't it, after a certain age. Glad to hear that was your news. Simply to be maintaining the status quo is a great thing. And I have found, to my even greater surprise, that sometimes physical things CAN get better. So good news for today. And I look forward to more evidence of your morning drives with Pheebs. Thanks for your work.
