BEAM ME UP SCOTTY

Another in a seemingly endless span of miserably hot and humid summer days.  I tried to do a little more outside clean-up on the RV but gave up in frustration after about half an hour.  Can't stand that hot, sweaty, sticky, and clammy feeling.  Beam me up Scotty and set a direct course for a cooler Galactic Planet.  Warp speed 9 and don't spare those new induction engines getting there!!!!
WE HAD US A WEE BIT OF FOG ON THE MORNING AIR
GRAIN WAGONS READY TO GO FOR THE WHEAT HARVEST
LOOKS LIKE THE WHEAT HARVEST HAS ALREADY BEGUN
PHEEBS AND I WENT FOR A SHORT SNORT TO GODERICH AND BACK
MYSTIC MORNING
GROANER'S CORNER:((
One day God was looking down at Earth and saw all of the rascally behavior that was going on. So he called one of His angels and sent the angel to Earth for a time.  When he returned, he told God, 'Yes, it is bad on Earth; 95% are misbehaving and only 5% are not.  God thought for a moment and said, 'Maybe I had better send down a second angel to get another opinion.'  So God called another angel and sent him to Earth for a time.
When the angel returned he went to God and said, 'Yes, it's true.  The Earth is in decline; 95% are misbehaving, but 5% are being good.'  God was not pleased. So He decided to e-mail the 5% that were good, because he wanted to encourage them, and give them a little something to help them keep going.  Do you know what the e-mail said?
Okay, I was just wondering, because I didn't get one either.

  1. Glad you had the chance to get out just to shake the Cabin Fever.
Be Safe and Enjoy the AC for the next few days.

    It's about time.

  2. It was a nice day up here. Enough breeze off the bay to keep things cool and no humidity.

  3. I know what you mean. Hot hot weather is not fun. Now I'm not only staying in because of Covid, but also really IN because it's awful out there after 9AM. OK. Maybe 10. And if I were younger....a couple of hours later. But I'm not. Why do I live here? Always have, with the exception of a few years. Anyway, I have long since quit wondering why people in Texas are crazy, I'm one of them.

Seems like a typical July in Ontario. I remember as a kid in Ottawa going to sleep in the basement because the heat and humidity was unbearable, and we never had air conditioning. Ontario... winter, bugs, heat, September (the only really good month), and then winter again.

  5. Loved the photos with the mist, reminded me of wonderful times spent in Ireland and Scotland.

  6. I'm with you Al--we don't have the humidity but it's too dang hot to be outside for anything and the bugs--the sticky flies are about to drive me right over the edge!
