RV DECISION MADE, HOT ENOUGH FOR A/C TODAY, AND WE ARE LESS THAN A MONTH AWAY FROM THE LONGEST DAY OF THE YEAR ALREADY:((

APPLE BLOSSOMS IN AN APPLE ORCHARD
Cloudy today and that's Okay
Sometimes I just like it that way
Sunshine is great blue skies too
I like change how about you
I wrote this poem in early morn
And by afternoon it was sunny and warm
To judge the weather I should not try
So unpredictable the weather and I
COUNTRY DANDELIONS ARE SO MUCH LARGER AND VIBRANT THAN SUBURBAN DANDELIONS

A WILD APPLE TREE
FARMERS CROPS ARE BEGINNING TO GROW
Here we are closing in on the last week of May already.  Next thing we know it will be the Labor Day weekend upon us.  I'm sure summer will roar through like a freight train passing in the night.  By the time we wake up it will be long gone.  And did you realize we are less than a month away from the longest day of the year and then.........well, you know:((  Now how's them apples fer ya...........
SKIES WERE UNPREDICTABLE FOR AWHILE THIS MORNING
RURAL FOLKS BUSY ON THE LAND TODAY AHEAD OF PREDICTED RAIN
Despite so many good things about the Class B+ RV we test drove Saturday and despite all the see-sawing back and forth between Kelly and I we decided this morning to pass on it.  A little more money than we want to spend in these uncertain times so our search continues.  We think we can still find something closer to the slightly smaller size we want and can afford if we are patient and just keep looking.
BIG TRACTOR COMING
BIG TRACTOR GOING
Pheebs and I slid through Bayfield this morning taking a buzz around the Marina where many sailboats are still high and dry on their storage stands.  Only saw 5 boats in the water so far.  Usually by this time in May the docks and harbor areas are already busy with people bustling about getting their summers revved up.  A few drops of rain on the windshield driving along Bayfield's Main Street.
DOWN AROUND THE BAYFIELD HARBOR I SAW A FEW BOATS IN THE WATER
THESE TWO BOATERS MUST BE PALS SO HE WHO DOCKS TOGETHER FLOATS AND PARTIES TOGETHER TOO
BAYFIELD'S PIER IS OPEN AGAIN SO AREA FISHERMEN ARE BACK
AND HERE'S HOW YOU GET YOUR POWERBOAT BACK ONTO YOUR BOAT TRAILER
'VROOM' 'VROOM'
AND IT LOOKS LIKE THIS FARMER IS GOING TO GET HIS BOAT INTO THE WATER AS WELL FOR THE SUMMER
Our usual route Southeast of Bayfield under dark threatening skies led us over to the Kerr's Family Campground area for a walk on a dead-end road there.  Spotted a whole host of colored Trilliums on the forest floor alongside the road so into the forest we went.
ON OUR WALK WE CAME UPON THESE TRILLIUMS IN A FOREST
TRILLIUMS BELOW AND APPLE BLOSSOMS ABOVE
APPLE BLOSSOMS
By the time we got back to the Jeep I could feel the humidity building but we made it home without having to use the Jeep's A/C.  However, several hours later after our ominous cloud cover cleared and we were under brilliant sunshine.  Things started heating up so Kelly kicked on our central air about 2 p.m.  Oh my what a pleasant relief to feel that cooler air.
With trees, shrubs, plants, and flowers all exploding into growth it's like we have gone from late Winter to the middle of Summer.  80+F today and possibly 90F Monday and Tuesday.  Oh George, if you were still here you would be 'lovin it'.
AND A FEW SAILBOAT NAMES FOR YA
Pheebs and I will be out in the countryside Monday morning digging up a few Marsh Marigolds for our secondary little water garden.  Kelly brought home some hardy long-blooming rose bushes from Baker's Nursery so we will be planting those as well in the morning.  The place is slowly shaping up around here:))
GROANER'S CORNER:(( A guy had been feeling down for so long that he finally decided to seek the aid of a psychiatrist. He went there, lay on the couch, spilled his guts then waited for the profound wisdom of the psychiatrist to make him feel better. The psychiatrist asked him a few questions, took some notes then sat thinking in silence for a few minutes with a puzzled look on his face.  Suddenly, he looked up with an expression of delight and said, "Um, I think your problem is low self-esteem. It is very common among losers."

My dad walked me down the aisle at my third wedding. He said, “I keep giving you away... and they keep giving you back!”

Q: How do you find Ronald McDonald in a nudist colony?
A: Look for sesame seed buns.

  1. Well, you are a poet
    And I didn't know it.
( I like your poem...especially the last line which takes off.)
Glad you had a good day....and as usual, thanks for the photos.

  3. That Tractor is the King of The Road, never noticed dual front tires before. The a little 8N Ford tractor yet the brakes are on the wrong side, must be a Canadian thing. We are still using heat up here yet everything is green. It was 52 degrees and rain today.

  4. You are correct Al. George would be his glory with the temperatures climbing. He wouldn't need an excuse to go for a swim.
