TODAY WAS A 105'ER

PHEEBS IS HAPPY TO SEE GRASS GROWING AGAIN
Another beautiful early Spring day with sunshine and blue skies.  A little on the cool side but that's Okay.  Nice to be outside in bug free air.  On our rural wanderings this morning it was so nice to see things on the ground beginning to green up.  Pheebs has always been a grass eater so after a long grassless winter she sure is enjoying the fresh new tasty blades of green.  We managed a short walk but with my legs bothering me this last while we were soon back in the Jeep again and headed home.
NICE TO SEE SPRING'S GREEN EMERGING FROM AUTUMN'S GOLD
GREAT TO SEE FIELDS OF GREEN ONCE AGAIN EMERGING FROM FIELDS OF WHITE AND MUDDY BROWN
Despite having an energy problem again today I was able to get my two potted cedar trees finally planted.  Nice to have our doors open to the outside fresh air this afternoon and we even managed a wee sit down outside on our front porch.  A short afternoon walk with Pheebs and that was a about it for me.  I enjoyed the rest of the afternoon from my recliner in the sunroom giving my legs a rest.  I have days when I feel about 25 and then along comes days when I feel about 105.  Today was a 105'er.
MY TWO EMERALD CEDARS ARE NOW PLANTED

OUR PARK IS ALSO GREENING UP NICELY
GROANER'S CORNER:((    The English Language::  Have you ever wondered why foreigners have trouble with the English Language?
There is no egg in the egg plant
No ham in the hamburger
And neither pine nor apple in the pineapple.
English muffins were not invented in England
French fries were not invented in France.
We sometimes take English for granted.  But if we examine its paradoxes we find that Quicksand takes you down slowly
Boxing rings are square
And a guinea pig is neither from Guinea nor is it a pig.
If writers write, how come fingers don't fing.
The teacher taught, Why didn't the preacher praught.
If a vegetarian eats vegetables what the heck does a humanitarian eat!?
Why do people recite at a play and play at a recital?
Park on driveways and drive on parkways
You have to marvel at the unique lunacy of a language where a house can burn up as it burns down and in which you fill in a form by filling it out
English was invented by people, not computers and it reflects the creativity of the human race which of course isn't a race at all
That is why when the stars are out they are visible but when the lights are out they are invisible
And why it is that when I wind up my watch it starts but when I wind up this observation, it ends.

  1. Wonderful post as always Al. I've been having a few 105'er days myself in this cold, damp weather. Hopefully it warms up and dries soon.

  2. Sorry to hear your legs are bothering you. Really puts a damper on hiking. My feet bother me and I hate it. Glad to see the green:))

  3. As always beautiful pictures. The beauty of spring shines through. Having spent most of our years in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan this time of year when the rain had washed away the last of the winter was one of my favorite times.
