I GUESS WE ALL HANDLE REALITY IN DIFFERENT WAYS

Expecting heavy rain in the night I made sure to close both shed doors.  I generally always leave them open for a fresh airflow.  Old sheds can get musty.  Other than maybe 4.6 dozen small spatters of rain on the Jeep's windshield this morning Pheebs and I hardly had to even turn the windshield wipers on.
ALWAY NICE SCENERY TO LOOK AT IN OUR COUNTRY WANDERINGS
BIG FARM MACHINES ON THE RURAL ROADS AGAIN THIS MORNING
SPOTTED A PAIR OF MALLARD DUCKS ON A POND NORTHEAST OF GODERICH
I AM SEEING A LOT MORE DAFFODILS IN THE COUNTRYSIDE THIS YEAR
DAFFODILS AND A HYACINTH
DANDELIONS??  NOPE, THESE ARE COLTSFOOT
Rarely living on what one could call the brave side of life I did rather daringly venture out this morning without my winter lined pants on.  Summer blue jeans in their place of course and I even managed to doff my always present cold weather T-shirt.  How nice to feel that slight improvement of movement.  Oh Boy, can short sleeve shirts be far behind.  And how nice to have our doors and windows open with fresh Spring air wafting through the house again.  It has been a long time coming.
WE HAVE TWO NEW NEIGHBORS ON THE FARM JUST AROUND THE CORNER FROM OUR PARK
THESE ARE LLAMAS
SOON AS I TOOK THIS PHOTO I THOUGHT OF OUR  FRIENDS AND FORMER RV'ERS FRED AND JO WISHNIE OF TUCSON ARIZONA AND YES THAT WOULD BE FRED ON THE LEFT:))  OH DEAR I DO HOPE THEY SEE THE WELL INTENTIONED HUMOR IN THIS IF THEY HAPPEN TO SEE IT
Sitting out on our rear deck late this afternoon soaking up Old Sol's rays my memory took me back years ago to when about this time of year I would drive out into the countryside to a couple favorite spots, lay me a blanket down, and stretch myself out under the Sun's rays.  How nice to feel the warmth of those healing sunbeams driving Old Man Winter's freezing cold memories far off to the furthest corners of my mind.

NO THESE DUCKS DIDN'T LOSE THEIR HEADS THEY ARE SIMPLY FEEDING ON SOME PLANTS UNDER THE WATER
WINTER'S BARE BRANCHES ARE SPRINGING INTO COLOR
NEIGHBOR MONICA'S RHUBARB IS COMING UP
OUR SPIREA LEAVES ARE COMING OUT
Ended our day in sunshine and warming temperatures.  Only two days left in the month of April and oh how fast time is moving these days it seems.  On my daily morning Jeep rides with Pheebs as we amble around the countryside my mind sometimes travels back over the life I have lived.  So many great moments but oh so many regrets as well and it seems now with years catching up so fast those regrets have a way of holding sway over one's thoughts at times.  My Aunt Jean and I have touched on this subject a few times as she too is sometimes bothered by decisions once made.  I don't think anyone escapes this although some I have heard say 'they have no regrets'.  Hard to imagine that being a truthful statement but I guess we all handle reality in different ways.
SO WHAT ARE THESE PEOPLE DOING IN NEIGHBOR MONICA'S YARD THIS AFTERNOON??
HEY WAIT A MINUTE NOW THEY ARE IN OUR YARD!!  BET THEY ARE AFTER THE MEASUREMENTS TO MY BIRD FEEDER SO THEY CAN COPY IT...'YA RIGHT'
KELLY WENT OUT AND ASKED WHAT THEY WERE DOING AND THEY SAID CHECKING ELEVATION LEVELS.......OKAY SO HERE'S MY LATEST GRAND THEORY ON THE FUTURE OF OUR PARK....., OUR LOCATION IS GOING TO BE BULLDOZED FLAT FOR BAYFIELD'S NEW INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT....NOW HOW'S THAT FOR A GRAND THEORY EH:))
GROANER'S CORNER:(( An elderly couple were killed in an accident and found themselves being given a tour of heaven by Saint Peter. "Here is your oceanside condo, over there are the tennis courts, swimming pool, and two golf courses. If you need any refreshments, just stop by any of the many bars located throughout the area.""Heck, Gloria," the old man hissed when Saint Peter walked off, "we could have been here ten years ago if you hadn't heard about all that stupid oat bran, wheat germ, and low-fat diets stuff!"

  1. Excellent lama, tractor, and yard pictures tonight. It appears your Spring is way ahead of us ( 22F ) this morning. I have many regrets and still had a very fun life.

  2. Your camera found some really nice and colourful pictures again. Aren't the expressions of the Llamas priceless? Where do you ever find those jokes, too funny!

  3. I would think that most of us have regrets, I try not to spend much time on those, since there is nothing I can do about it now. Sometimes, I just wonder: what the heck was I thinking:)
