PHEEBS AND I ARE HOME ALONE AND DOING JUST FINE:))

A DRIVE THROUGH BAYFIELD THIS MORNING
Standing at our living room window staring out upon a cold windy rain drizzled morning the thought occurred to me, 'why bother even going out'.  Why not just stay inside where it's warm and comfy.  Of course I also knew how toasty warm it would be inside the Jeep as well so without getting myself into a big bout of confused decision making I loaded up the happy little Doogins and we headed out the driveway...….with the heater on!!
IT WAS A WET START TO OUR DAY
After Saturday's morning long drive up through Mennonite country I knew we wouldn't be going too far today.  Aside from a few photos in and around Bayfield and a couple muddy roads south of town we were back home shortly after 10.
A FEW PLACES ALONG BAYFIELD'S MAIN STREET
BAYFIELD'S CLAN GREGOR SQUARE
Raked up some leaves and pine needles and re-installed the frog pond pump.  Only change in this mornings weather this afternoon is that the drizzly rain stopped.  The cold gray days of November will soon be upon us.
THIS HEAVY CLOUD COVER HUNG OVER US UNTIL 4:47 P.M. WHEN SUNSHINE SUDDENLY PIERCED THROUGH THE CLOUDS AND SKIES BEGAN TO CLEAR

AND WE'RE ALMOST HOME
Seeings how it was Sunday I decided to pull out all the stops and fix myself steak and mashed potatoes with gravy for supper.  Thank you Mr. Swanson for that tasty Salisbury steak:))  Of course I chased that fine meal down with my last piece of Saturday mystery cake.  I think it was lemon.

Kelly sent a few pics from their outing today at Hurd Orchards in Holley, New York.  This is a really unique place and I was lucky enough a few years ago to also be there with the gang.

And just another friendly reminder again to Facebook folks after receiving a number of Friend Requests lately.  Due to being hacked twice I do not accept 'Friend Requests'.  I'm not an avid Facebooker and generally only use it to drop my daily post in each night.  So please don't be offended if I have not accepted your Friend Request.

GROANER'S CORNER:(( An atheist was spending a quiet day fishing when suddenly his boat was attacked by the Loch Ness monster. In one easy flip, the beast tossed him and his boat high into the air. Then it opened its mouth to swallow both. As the man sailed head over heels, he cried out, "Oh, God! Help me!"   As the atheist spun helplessly through the air, a booming voice came down from the clouds, "I thought you didn't believe in Me?"  "Give me a break!" the man pleaded. "Two minutes ago I didn't believe in the Loch Ness monster either!"

  1. Still mighty purdy your way. The leaves have pretty much fallen over here on the east side of Algonquin Park. It was a grey, dismal day. Thankfully the rain stopped around supper hour.

  2. Glad you didn't just stay home! Another great group of pictures for us. How did you get the gulls to pose like that?

  3. Good for you for going out every day. Often I chose to say inside with the warmth. Our fall scenes are lovely, rain or shine.
