AN INCENTIVE EACH DAY TO GET OUT THERE AND TAKE MORE PHOTOS

These are truly remarkable days with our colorful Autumn leaves now peaking everywhere the eye can see.  How nice to be surrounded by such a blaze of beauty at this time of year again.  Mother Nature at her finest.
BAYFIELD'S OLD HOMESTEAD TRAILER PARK
CROSSING BAYFIELD'S BRIDGE AND LOOKING TO THE EAST
WORK ON BAYFIELD'S NEW BRIDGE IS MOVING RIGHT ALONG
MOST SAILBOATS HAVE BEEN TAKEN OUT OF THE WATER IN BAYFIELD'S HARBOR
It was a cold west wind this morning as Pheebs and I made our way around half a dozen gravely roads south of Bayfield.  Stopping a few times we didn't walk too far.  I should have put a nylon jacket on instead of a cloth one.  Nylon cuts the wind and keeps the wearer warmer.  But no matter it's just nice to get out into the countryside and enjoy the beautiful Autumn scenery from the warm comfort of the Jeep.
BAYFIELD'S CLAN GREGOR SQUARE
I HAD THE URGE TO RAKE THESE LEAVES UP INTO A BIG PILE THEN GO JUMP ON IT
CLOUDY MORNING AND I THINK THIS CORN IS WITHIN WEEKS OF BEING HARVESTED
HARVEST TIME IS DETERMINED BY THE MOISTURE CONTENT IN THE COBS
MOST BEAN FIELDS HAVE ALREADY BEEN HARVESTED
Home again I puttered around outside readying things for the coming winter.  More summer yard ornaments away, another garden hose rolled up, a deck umbrella taken down and put away, etc.
NO THIS ISN'T OUR HOUSE BUT I BET KELLY AND I COULD MAKE IT LIVABLE
AT THE FAR END OF THAT TREE LINE SITS A FARMER'S AIRPLANE AND THIS GREEN FIELD IS WHERE HE TAKES OFF AND LANDS
I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IS PLANTED HERE SO LATE IN THE SEASON
Nice afternoon walk with Pheebs and it's absolutely the best time of the year to be out walking and especially with all the colorful foliage everywhere.  We are experiencing a wonderland of color right now.
WINDY DAYS HAVE CHURNED UP LAKE HURON WATERS
BAYFIELD'S TWO PIERS WERE TAKING A POUNDING
GOOD THING LOCAL FISHERMEN DIDN'T VENTURE OUT ONTO THE PIER TODAY
A word of thanks to everyone again for all the nice comments on my Autumn photos.  It's a great feeling for me knowing I'm doing something people enjoy and it gives me the incentive each day to get out there and find more photos.
GROANER'S CORNER:(( A Texan was taking a taxi tour of London and was in a hurry. As they went by the Tower of London the cab driver explained what it was and that construction of it started in 1346 and was completed in 1412.The Texan replied, "Shoot, a little old tower like that? In Houston we'd have that thing up in two weeks!"  Next they passed the House of Parliament - started in 1544 and completed in 1618."Well boy, we put up a bigger one than that in Dallas and it only took a year!"  As they passed Westminster Abbey the cab driver was silent. "Whoah! What's that over there?" asked the Texan.  The driver replied, "I don't know, it wasn't there yesterday."

  6. Probably a dumb question, but I know nothing about farming...is the corn all harvested by machine?

  11. I enjoyed all those wonderful photos. When I saw the one with the windmill, I expected another with it centered and the fall colors on each side; a perfect calendar cover. Is that the new bridge, or just for a temporary while they rebuild the old bridge? Amen on nylon jackets. I had one I wore for about 15 years until the zipper split apart. Phil, Phoenix
