A SATURDAY MORNING DRIVE THROUGH MENNONITE COUNTRY

It had been awhile since Pheebs and I last took ourselves for a drive up through Mennonite country so this morning that is where we went.  And what a beautiful October morning it was too.  Sunshine, blue skies and lots of Autumn colors.  What a great way to spend three enjoyable hours.
THERE ARE A NUMBER OF MENNONITE SAWMILLS IN THE AREA AND THIS IS ONE OF THEM
SAWMILL
I knew I had taken a bunch of photos along the way but I never guessed it was a hundred and eighty one.  Fortunately I enjoy editing photos so I managed to whittle that number down to 121 workable photos.  Too many for my Saturday post so I'll stretch the rest out over the next few days.  We have rain predicted for Sunday so maybe I will take a photo break and catch up some of today's pics.

Arriving home I found two pieces of cake in a plastic container on a table outside our front door.  I quickly ate one piece before it could get away on me and locked up the other piece in the fridge.  The cake was delishiosus:))
I WONDER WHAT THE FOLKS AT THIS SAWMILL FARM THINK ABOUT ALL THOSE WIND TURBINES SO CLOSE
AND YET ANOTHER SAWMILL
MENNONITE HOUSES ARE GENERALLY ALWAYS PAINTED WHITE AND THEIR BARNS ARE OFTEN RED
Supper tonight was a Swiss Chalet chicken pot pie and I ate the whole darn thing too.  Well Okay it wasn't that big.  At the time of publishing tonight it is now raining.
Talking to the two Goldfish in our front yard pond late this afternoon they informed me in no uncertain terms to get that waterfall pond pump hooked up again or else!!  I'll do that in the morning.  I don't want my Goldfish mad at me.
DRIVING THROUGH MENNONITE COUNTRY THIS MORNING IT WAS NICE SMELLING WOOD SMOKE IN THE AIR....ALL THESE HOMES WILL HAVE WOOD STOVES
GROANER'S CORNER:(( After the revival had concluded, the three pastors were discussing the results with one another. The Methodist minister said, "The revival worked out great for us! We gained 4 new families." The Baptist preacher said, "We did better than that! We gained 6 new families." The Presbyterian pastor said, "Well, we did even better than that! We got rid of our 10 biggest trouble makers!"

“I promised my wife I'd remember to bring her a frappucino, but affogato.”

So many items are no longer made in America... I just bought a new tv and the box said “built in antenna”...I don’t even know where that is!
