MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE TIME OF THE YEAR IS NOW UPON US

An early morning cloud cover began breaking up about mid morning leaving us with bright blue sunny skies for the rest of the afternoon.  Just a gorgeous day with warm sunlight and cooling breeze off the lake.  No humidity or bugs in the air so Pheebs and I did manage an enjoyable walk this morning.  It was a fine September day to be outside and I spent myself some enjoyable time this afternoon out and about in the yard with my clippers.

There were two things I forgot to mention about my radiation procedure early Friday afternoon.  After getting me comfortably aligned with the radiation machine and before he left the room the technician asked me what music I would like to listen too during the procedure.  Before I could answer he clicked on some good old Rock and Roll.  Had he not done so I would have said 'anything' except Opera, Rap, or Church music.  Also forgot to mention while laying on my back looking up there was a large light box in the ceiling with a photo of May apple blossoms against a dark blue sky.  If you look at the photo I took of the radiation machine Friday you can see that large light box on the ceiling.  I thought both the music and large soothing photo were nice thoughtful touches.  And as always the staff were very friendly and informative.

Holy Smokes we are half way through September.  Can you believe it!!??  Geezzzzz at this rate Spring will be here in no time.

If I've mentioned it once in my blog over the years I have mentioned it a hundred times.  This is my absolute very much most favorite time of the year now from mid September to mid October before the weather begins it's inevitable decline into the nasty cold bleakness of winter.  So nice to be out walking in the countryside now with no bugs and no humidity.  With the Sun slipping further into the southern hemisphere our shortening days take on the softer hues and colors of approaching Autumn.  A peaceful calm descends upon the land each year at this time and I love that feeling Mother Nature freely hands out and asks for nothing in return except to simply enjoy what she has to offer........……
GROANER'S CORNER:((  The husband and wife were playing on the ninth green when she collapsed from a heart attack. "Please dear, I need help." she said. The husband ran off saying "I'll go get some help." A little while later he returned, picked up his club and began to line up his shot on the green. His wife, on the ground, raised up her head and said, "I may be dying and you're putting?" "Don't worry dear. I found a doctor on the second hole who said he would come and help." "The second hole???  When the hell is he coming???" "Hey! I told ya not to worry, everyone's already agreed to let him play through."

  1. Great photos Al. Thanks for reminding me what a September day looks like in the Midwest, although you are further east of that area. It's getting cooler here too but Stella still demands the AC late afternoon. LOL
