THE LONDON REGIONAL CANCER CLINIC PHONES ABOUT AN UPCOMING APPOINTMENT I DIDN'T KNOW I HAD

JUST SIMPLY A GORGEOUS DAY HERE ALONG LAKE HURON'S SHORELINE AT GODERICH
First a big thankyou to the weather Gods for another very welcome second day of cooler humidity free air.  Sooooo much appreciated by this guy.
Nothing too exciting about a drive to Goderich and back for Pheebs and I this morning but no matter, it was just great to be comfortably outside.  A few photos down around the harbor and beach areas and that was about it.
QUIET THOUGHTS FOR THIS MAN WITH AN EARLY MORNING CUP OF COFFEE
FUN DAY AT THE BEACH
ONE FREIGHTER AT THE SALT DOCK
Busied myself with a carport clean-up this afternoon.  A nice cool shady place to putter a few hours away.  My auto cleaning supplies cabinet looked like somebody had thrown a bomb into it so I was able to get that all sorted out nice and neat again.....labels facing out please:))
Luckily Kelly happened to be in the kitchen earlier this afternoon and snagged a phone call from the London Regional Cancer Center.  Unbeknownst to us I have a Tuesday August 27th 8:00 a.m. appointment with an Oncologist Doctor.  We knew nothing about this appointment until the phone call today so it was a lucky break for us they called to affirm the appointment.  Lady said she had a hunch we never received the appointment date.  Said she had faxed Doctor Bukala's office about the appointment but Dr. Bukala's office is on holidays until September 3rd.  A little breakdown in communication I suspect.  Anyway, Tuesday morning we will find out all about the treatment phase for my prostate cancer and this Link will show you where I'm going and who my Oncologist Doctor will be.  I am still looking at this whole thing as a 'big new adventure' and I'm hoping I can keep on track with that outlook and continue to keep readers informed how things are going.  I'm hoping my experience can maybe help others at some point seeking information about this sort of thing.  The Why's, the Where's, the When's and the What Abouts.

GROANER'S CORNER:(( One afternoon at Cheers, Cliff Clavin was explaining the Buffalo Theory to his buddy Norm. Here's how it went: "Well ya see, Norm, it's like this... A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, as we know, kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers."

Good Luck at your appointment Oncologist Doctor. As cantankerous as you're you'll kick their backside and win.

  3. I appreciate you taking the trouble to chronicle your medical happenings. Your experiences will help me have a better time of it when my time comes. I am 73 so you are not leading me by a lot but I sure do pay attention and learn. Thank you.
