WITH LESS THAN A WEEK TO GO WE’RE GETTING THERE…….

DSC_1755

Pheebs and I were up and out the door earlier than usual this morning.  Under cloudy skies and stiff northeast winds we had to crack us on a load of heat.  That worked out just fine as it balanced out Pheebs window being down.  Headed south out of Bayfield to Pavilion Road and turned right towards Lake Huron.  Parked the Jeep and headed down an old set of wooden steps to the beach for a walk.

LAST TIME HERE A COUPLE MONTHS AGO WE SAW DRIFTWOOD BUT IT’S ALL CLEANED UP NOW PRETTY MUCH

A VERY PEBBLY BEACH AND YOU CAN SEE HOW WHEN THE WAVES ARE HIGH THEY TUG AWAY AT THE SANDY HILLSIDE

From the end of Pavilion Road we wandered our way along gravely roads to Exeter Ontario.  I had a hankering for bacon and eggs at A&W.  I still figure they put out a better breakfast than most other places around here.

ONLY PIECE OF DRIFTWOOD WE SAW WAS THIS ONE AND I SUSPECT IT’S BEEN HERE FOR QUITE AWHILE

IF YOU STARE AT THIS PHOTO LONG ENOUGH YOU WILL SEE FACES AND CREATURES

From A&W we picked up a few more country roads and meandered our way back to Bayfield arriving home 3 hours after we had left.  Still on the cool side and still windy.  For me it was simply a great weather day and how refreshing from last weeks oppressive heat.

HARD TO SEE BUT PHEEBS IS ON THOSE STEPS HEADING UP FROM THE BEACH

SEEMS NO MATTER HOW HARD I TRY I JUST CAN’T SEEM TO EVER CATCH A SELFIE OF MYSELF SMILING:((

Fired up the Motorhome and headed off for Clinton to dump the black and gray tanks.  Pheebs came along riding shotgun.  Nice day for a drive despite the gusting wind.  Back home I added some water to the fresh water tank and puttered around with half a dozen other chores.  With less than a week now we're getting there...………

GROANER'S CORNER:((   I want to thank all of you who have taken the time and trouble to send me your stupid chain letters over the past years. Thank you for making me feel safe, secure, blessed, and wealthy. Because of your concern……..

I no longer drink Coca Cola because it can remove toilet stains and it eats the paint off of cars.

I no longer drink Pepsi or Dr Pepper since the people who make these products are atheists who refuse to put “Under God” on their cans.

I no longer use Saran wrap in the microwave because it causes cancer.

I no longer use cancer causing deodorants even though I smell like a wet dog on a hot day.

I no longer go to shopping malls because someone will drug me with a perfume sample and rob me.

I no longer receive packages from UPS or FedEx since they are actually Al Qaida in disguise.

I no longer eat at KFC because their chickens are actually horrible mutant freaks with no eyes or feathers.

I no longer have any sneakers — but that will change once I receive my free replacement pair from Nike.

I no longer buy expensive cookies from Neiman Marcus since I now have their recipe.

I no longer worry about my soul because I have 363,214 angels looking out for me.

I no longer have any money at all, but that will change once I receive the $15,000 that Microsoft and AOL are sending me for participating in their special e-mail program.

I no longer use my cell phone because I could spontaneously combust at a gas station while refueling my car.

Yes, I want to thank all of you soooooooo much for looking out for me! I will now return the favor.

If you DON'T send this e-mail to at least 5,000 people in the next 60 seconds, a large bird will crap on your head at 5:00 PM tomorrow afternoon. I know this will occur because it actually happened to a friend of a friend of a friend of a…etc…etc, etc,....bla bla bla bla bla!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Love the changes in the light on the water. So many different colors! Makes me want to paint them in watercolor. Nice to see a picture of you in the mix. We also are getting our truck camper ready for a short trip (1 week). We have to be back to start teaching fall quarter.

  5. What a beautiful place you live in. I love your lake pictures today. I guess my eyes are worse than I thought since the picture of Pheebs didn't look blurry to me.
