CONCLUSIONS CONCLUDED, SPECULATIONS SPECULATED ABOUT AND A FEW UNRESOLVABLES THROWN IN FOR GOOD MEASURE

DSC_0358

Richard’s turn to drive this morning so off we went out into the wild green yonder of Huron Counties rural farmlands.  Sunshine and blue skies followed us around wherever we went.  Once again solved many of the world’s unsolvable problems as well as a few of our own along the way.  Conclusions concluded, speculations speculated about as well as a healthy dose of unresolvables thrown in for good measure.  It was quite a mixed pot of current, past and present topics we stirred around.  Were we any further ahead three hours after starting out??   I guess only our own confused and aging minds may or may not remember.   Well, how would we know, we’re male and we’re Seniors and it’s easy for us to fool ourselves.  Sometimes we appear to be comfortably stabilized on the Merry-Go-Round we travel and other times we cling precariously to the frantic whirling out of control Ferris Wheel of life as it repeatedly tries it’s best to fling us off into the far flung deepest and darkest reaches of outer space.  Even the lady at McDonald’s Drive-Thru had to shout over the intercom today. “Can you two old fools settle down, stop your nattering and tell me want you want in your coffees”!!!!

Tonight’s photos are from around our yard the past couple days.

Feeling tired again to day so I didn’t venture back outside after returning from our morning coffee run.  Spent most of the afternoon in my recliner sleepily whiling away the hours.

Having had my mind on other concerns this past week and a half I haven’t been doing a lot of thinking about our upcoming travel plans which are tentatively set to launch less than 5 weeks from now.  Maybe I’m needing a good jolt of cooler weather to get that travel blood in my veins pumping again…………………

GROANER’S CORNER:(( The European Union commissioners have announced that an agreement has been reached to adopt English as the preferred language for European communications, rather than German, which was the other possibility. As part of the negotiations, the British government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a five year phased plan for what will be known as EuroEnglish (Euro for short). In the first year, "s" will be used instead of the soft "c". Sertainly, sivil servants will reseive this news with joy. Also, the hard "c" will be replaced with "k". Not only will this klear up konfusion, but typewriters kan have one less letter. There will be growing public enthusiasm in the sekond year, when the troublesome "ph" will be replased by "f". This will make words like "fotograf" 20 persent shorter. In the third year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible. Governments will enkorage the removal of double letters, which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling. Also, al wil agre that the horible mes of silent "e"s in the language is disgrasful, and they would go.By the fourth year, peopl wil be reseptiv to steps such as replasing "th" by "z" and "w" by "v".During ze fifz year, ze unesesary "o" kan be dropd from vords kontaining "ou", and similar changes vud, of kors, be aplid to ozer kombinations of leters.Und efter ze fifz yer, ve vil al be speking German lik zey vunted in ze forst plas.

  7. Comparing senior life to traveling on a Merry-Go-Round is priceless! That is so true. Sounds like we should put you and Richard in charge of solving the worlds problems. At the very least, you will approach problems with humor and positive intent. Loved the photo of the yellow daisy and the bee. It looks like he is coming in for a landing. That shot is very crisp and clear. I love experiencing the world through your creative eye.
