A FEW PHOTOS IN THE HULLETT MARSH AND THAT WAS ABOUT IT FOR THE DAY

DSC_9663

It was a short Jeep snort over to the Hullett Marsh for an even shorter walk this morning.  A sultry looking sky greeted us soon as we cleared our forest of trees here in the Park.  The low cloud cover lasted all the way to the Marsh before skies began clearing.

EARLY MORNING BEANFIELD

Temps were coming up quickly and the damn Deer Flies were biting.  When we pulled into one of our favorite spots at the Marsh I saw a couple Blue Herons take off and then a couple more, and more.  Never have I seen so many Blue Herons in flight.  I counted 18 altogether and I know I missed some.

MANAGED A FEW BLUE HERON PHOTOS BUT THEY WEREN’T FLYING AND THEY WERE VERY FAR AWAY

We were back home by 10 and aside from some straightening up in the carport I didn't get much accomplished.  It was simply too uncomfortably humid for me and I had to retreat inside for the rest of the day.  Kelly spent some time over at Deer Park Lodge visiting her daughters and grandkids.

We had two overnight guests Tuesday night and they slept in our Motorhome.  Keenan and Langdon aged around ten and elevenish are two of Kelly's grandchildren.  They along with their Mother Sabra will be heading home today after a couple days over at Deer Park Lodge.  Kelly's daughter Rebecca is still at Deer Park until Saturday.  Rebecca's husband Ricardo will be joining them late Thursday afternoon after work.

Just to give myself a bit of a boost today I went to the drawer and pulled out my ‘RV Loading’ list.  You know, that list that has everything written down that has to be loaded into your RV before you leave home.  What’s that………you don’t have things written down??  In reality I think most Snow Birds have these totally necessary lists because most of our aging brains are no longer equipped to remember things like which shoe goes on what foot.  Without these important lists I'm sure there would be countless thousands of Snow Birds heading south each year with only half their feathers.  I've had my list for 12 years now.  It changes from year to year and you have to keep it current.  Here's an example of just a few small things on my 'loading' list.  Electric beard trimmer, email address book, 6 cases of peanut butter, spare watch and glasses, cell phone and case, laptop power cord, battery chargers, spare keys, Kindle, etc. etc.  Believe me my list goes on and on and on from there.  In my mind if I don't write it down then it don't exist.  And if it don't exist I don't got it, so I am forever checking my 'loading' list to see what I do or don't got!!  Why do I do that??  Because I gotta:))

No change of plans yet regarding this coming winter's travels so we're still on track with things. Renewed our Passport America membership.  Don't know if I've mentioned this but we are maybe not going to travel with our Shaw satellite dish this year.  That would save us a few $$$$$.  Just hate the thought's of having to deal with Verizon again for our internet in the States.

GROANER'S CORNER:(( And Here's a Bit of Medical Advice for Today::  I don't understand why prescription medicine is allowed to advertise on TV or why anyone would think of trying one of the medicines after listening to the laundry list of warnings of possible side effects. This is a refreshing change: Do you have feelings of inadequacy? Do you suffer from shyness? Do you sometimes wish you were more assertive? Do you sometimes feel stressed? If you answered yes to any of these questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist about Cabernet Sauvignon!Cabernet Sauvignon is the safe, natural way to feel better and more confident. It can help ease you out of your shyness and let you tell the world that you're ready and willing to do just about anything. You will notice the benefits of Cabernet Sauvignon almost immediately and, with a regimen of regular doses, you'll overcome obstacles that prevent you from living the life you want. Shyness and awkwardness will be a thing of the past. You will discover talents you never knew you had. Cabernet Sauvignon may not be right for everyone. Women who are pregnant or nursing should not use it but women who wouldn't mind nursing or becoming pregnant are encouraged to try it. ………. Side Effects May Include: Dizziness, nausea, vomiting, incarceration, loss of motor control, loss of clothing, loss of money, delusions of grandeur, table dancing, headache, dehydration, dry mouth, and a desire to sing Karaoke and play all-night Strip Poker, Truth Or Dare, and Naked Twister. Warnings: The consumption of Cabernet Sauvignon may make you think you are whispering when you are not. The consumption of Cabernet Sauvignon may cause you to tell your friends over and over again that you love them. The consumption of Cabernet Sauvignon may cause you to think you can sing. The consumption of Cabernet Sauvignon may create the illusion that you are tougher, smarter, faster and better looking than most people. Chardonnay, Scotch, Vodka or Bourbon and of course Beer may be substituted for Cabernet Sauvignon, with similar results! Please feel free to share this important Medical information!

  3. Gotta have the lists we did that for years and years. No need now to pack our rv, but shopping lists are a must or lists of places to see and where we plan on going.
Glad we won't need Verizon anymore, got our bell phone plan changed with data good for Canada and the USA, our friends had that plan last year and worked wonderful for them.

  4. The birds are beautiful, but the butterflies win the post tonight!! I love that first photo. Those grandsons are getting so big - hard to believe they're the same kiddos who braved the water sports in years past. Always fun to start prepping for future travels!!
