IT WAS A LITTLE GIRL’S 5TH BIRTHDAY TODAY AND WE WERE THERE:))

'Brrrrrr', at 47F degrees this morning with a strong wind driving the wind chill factor down into the high 30’s it felt darn well cold outside.  Three months ago 47 degrees would have felt like a warm balmy day but not now in the first week of June. it's just simply cold, cold, cold!!  Pheebs and I did get out for an  hour but it was only to Goderich and back.  Couldn't drum up any enthusiasm for being outside on this cloudy cold and windy day.  DSC_6627

However, we did have somewhere to actually go this afternoon.  Leaving Pheebs home to hold down the fort Kelly and I headed to Montana’s Steak House in Kitchener Ontario.  It was Kelly’s Granddaughters 5th birthday.  Little Ella had been asked by her Mother Rebecca, ‘if she could have anyone she wanted to come to her birthday who would it be?’  Without hesitation Ella answered, “Gramma”.  Ella had no idea Gramma was coming and at 5 p.m. this afternoon we walked into Montanas and Kelly totally surprised a very happy little birthday girl:))

GROANER’S CORNER:((A young and foolish pilot wanted to sound cool on the aviation frequencies. This was his first time approaching a field during the nighttime, and instead of making any official requests to the tower, he said, "Guess who?"
The controller switched the field lights off and replied, "Guess where!"

A father was reading Bible stories to his young son. He read, the man named Lot was warned to take his life and flee out of the city, but his wife looked back and was turned to salt.  His son asked, but what happened to the flea?

  1. I just had a similar experience! I flew east to arrive on my 4 year old granddaughter's birthday. It was amazing!

  2. Oh, my gosh! Downright scary! Seems like just last week that child was born. But there she is, already five years old. Also scary is that we are all five years older just as quickly, too. Pretty little girl. Fun times for all.
