PHEEBS GOES TO THE VET, COACH WAXING RESUMES, AND A FEW MORE FRONT YARD PHOTOS

DSC_6007

LOOK AGAIN…………….THERE ARE TWO FROGS HERE

All three of us in the Jeep this morning heading to our Vet’s in Zurich.  It seems every year about this time Pheebs gets an infection type of soreness in her ears which causes her to shake her head a lot because of the itching.  Today they cleaned both her ears and administered some medication.  It’s a two part treatment so we take her back to the Vet next Wednesday and she has a second treatment.  Vet said she should be fine for the next five weeks and hopefully maybe even cure what it is that gets in her ears.

WE HAVE LOTS OF HOSTAS EVERYWHERE

DSC_5993<<< ALWAYS NICE TO SEE SPRING FERNS IN THE GARDENS

Spent another hour or so waxing the Motorhome.  My efforts this time were concentrated on the driver’s side and here’s a couple more things I have learned along the way.  Don’t get the waxing part too far ahead of the polishing and buffing part and don’t try applying wax too early in the morning when the coach’s fiberglass is still damp from the night air.  Our Motorhome sits amongst shady pine trees so takes awhile to dry out properly.  If the surface is damp the wax doesn’t seem to go on properly.

After a long slow and cold Spring our front yard is finally exploding into the summer jungle we look forward to each year.  We are entering the season now when all flora is coming into it’s best.  Everything is growing full tilt and will continue to do so through to the end of June.  When the heat and dryness of July sets in our lush green jungle will begin to age and struggle.  Aside from mid September to mid October being the nicest time of year here the month of June is the best month between mid October to late May.

TINY MOTH ON OUR SCREEN DOOR

Looks like we have some sunny days upon us for a few days so that means Pheebs and I will be out and about in the countryside again trying to scare up a few photos here and there.  If anyone reading is looking for a hobby I would most certainly suggest photography.  What a fine way to have one’s eyes opened to the beautiful wonders of nature.  And not only that but one gets to take those beautiful wonders home and preserve them for the rest of their lives.  Words are fine but like they say, ‘a picture is worth a thousand words’ and one photo of course can also stir a thousand memories.  So why not get yourself a decent digital camera and head on out to capture yourself a world of memorably wondrous photographs and have yourself some fun along the way……..:))

GROANER’S CORNER:(( A 6th grade teacher posed the following problem to one of her arithmetic classes:  "A wealthy man dies and leaves ten million dollars. One-fifth is to go to his wife, one-fifth is to go to his son, one-sixth to his butler, and the rest to charity. Now, what does each get?"  After a very long silence in the classroom, one little boy raised his hand and with complete sincerity in his voice, answered, "A lawyer!"

A man asked an American Indian what was his wife's name.  He replied, "She called Four Horse".
The man said, "That's an unusual name for your wife.  What does it mean?"  The Old Indian answered, "It old Indian Name. It mean,
NAG, NAG, NAG, NAG!"

One night at the dinner table, Charlie’s wife commented, 'When we were first married, you took the small piece of steak and gave me the larger. Now you take the large one and leave me the smaller one.  Don't you love me anymore?'
'Nonsense, darling,' replied Charlie, 'you just cook better now.'

  2. Your garden is really colorful and beautiful. I'm with you on taking a camera and finding all the beauty you can. I haven't been getting out much to do so, so I have been going through my pictures of the past and enjoying those times once again

  4. Exceptional photos of flora and fauna. Pictures and scents are better triggers of memories than words. You prove it every day.

  5. Mother Nature sure has a stage in your yard. And poor Pheebs; maybe she has an allergic reaction to Mother Natures "stage players". And, how do you cope with all the pine needles getting in every nook & cranny of the big EEE? I have them in our coach from 7 years ago I know. :-)
