OH-OH IS THAT A PICK UP TRUCK IN THE DITCH??  NOPE, JUST A PICK UP TRUCK TOPPER SOMEBODY HAS DUMPED ALONGSIDE THE ROAD
GROANER’S CORNER:)) A man tells his friend, "I went to my doctor to see if he could help me give up smoking." "What did he say?" "He suggested that every time I felt like a smoke I should reach for a bar of chocolate." "Did that do any good?"
"No I can't get the chocolate to light."

  1. Happy to see you and Richard had blue skies today on your drive. Yes, that is a Bufflehead duck.

  2. What a cutie that little ducky is. Maybe it will stick around for a while for you to keep taking pictures of it. With those strong winds we've had all over the province maybe that pickup truck roof flew off not having been fastened correctly? Strange to be left by the roadside or even stranger to be dumped there.

  3. It looks way too cold there for me. I moved south about 35 or 40 years ago and don't miss the sub-zero weather at all. In fact now I don't like any temperatures below the 40's or 50's.

  4. Quite an eye test, the photo of the turkeys. Remarkable natural camouflage in woods and fields. One has to study the picture closely to not miss counting all of them. The opening photo of the clear blue sky and bright sun is a taste of what arrives next week...finally. Your spirits and energy will soar.

  6. Glad you and Richard enjoyed your chin wag time. Nice to be able to gossip freely with a good friend!

I never understand why communities make it difficult or costly to dump garbage in the appropriate spots, it cost more to clean up this kind of stuff than it does to accept for free at the dump. It's also why there are more 'junk' piles around than ever before. People won't pay to dump stuff.

Enjoy the sunshine Al. I think we've turned the corner and spring is knocking.
