I’M THINKING SOMEBODY IS WAITING FOR A TUMMY RUB
Stepping out this morning I thought a gravel truck had come in the night and dumped a big chunk of mud in our carport. Looking closer I realized it was the Jeep I was looking at. Monday’s muddy country roads sure did a number on Libby. Managed to find the door handle and minutes later Pheebs and I were heading out of the Park under another heavily laden cloud cover. Soon as we cleared our forest I was heartened to see two prominent shafts of sunlight peering through the clouds to the south. Might be some hope for the day after all I thought.
OKAY THAT’S EITHER SUNLIGHT SHINING THROUGH THE CLOUDS OR IT’S AN ALIEN SPACESHIP COMING DOWN WITH IT’S HEADLIGHTS ON HIGH BEAM!!
Roads were surprisingly dry as we made our way to Goderich. It seems whenever I can't think of where to go we always end up in Goderich by default. Well hey they have a McDonald's there and I like their carrot muffins. Swinging down around the south harbor I saw another large freighter that I had never seen before docked at the Goderich Elevators. Ships name was Tundra and it's a bulk carrier. Noticed they were loading it and I could see dust coming up out of the cargo hold. Might have been beans they were loading the freighter with.
I THOUGHT MAYBE THAT YELLOW STRUCTURE WAS THE CAPTAINS TWO STORY CONDO HE HAD SPECIALLY BUILT FOR HIMSELF:))
DUST COMING UP OUT OF THE HOLD AS THAT WHITE PIPE FROM THE ELEVATOR LOADS MAYBE GRAIN, BEANS, OR CORN INTO THE SHIP
I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHAT THIS MACHINE IS BLOWING WHATEVER UP ALONGSIDE THE FREIGHTER
SAY YOU DON’T SUPPOSE THE CAPTAIN IS AN ENGLISHMAN AND THAT MACHINE IS BLOWING SOME LONDON FOG HIS WAY TO MAKE HIM FEEL AT HOME
A FEW LONE WALKERS ON THE BOARDWALK THIS MORNING BUT ONLY A FEW
SURE DOESN’T LOOK LIKE A FUN JOB TO ME AS THIS WORKER CUTS CEMENT BLOCKS WITH A SAW NEAR A WASHROOM ON THE BEACH
From the harbor we took a drive out around Ben Miller, snapped a few photos along the way then headed home. Almost had an encounter with a deer but managed to quickly pull over to the side of the road and stop. (I’m usually never going that fast anyway) A vehicle behind went right on by and he had an even closer encounter with the deer.
I WAS ABLE TO GET PULLED OVER AND GET 3 QUICK SHOTS OF THE DEER BEFORE IT BOLTED BACK ACROSS THE ROAD AGAIN
CONFUSED IT STOPS AND LOOKS BACK TO IT’S LEFT THEN BOLTS TO THE RIGHT HEADING STRAIGHT FOR THE ROAD
YES INDEED IT WAS A CLOSE CALL
NOTICE THAT IT HAPPENED SO FAST THE DRIVER NEVER EVEN HAD TIME TO HIT HIS BRAKES

Nearing home it was exactly 10:56 when Old Sol suddenly burst through the clouds lighting up the landscape all around. ‘Wow’ what a huge boost that was. I was so energized by the sunshine that soon as we were home I had the leaf blower going full tilt and nearly wore out my leaf rake. Fired up the wheelbarrow and spent an enjoyable couple hours wearing myself out and getting a lot of the Spring yard work done now. Even managed a walk around the Pine Tree trail with Pheebs. Always a nice feeling at the end of a day when one feels they have physically accomplished something.
SO NICE TO SEE BLUE SKIES OVERHEAD
SUN SHINING THROUGH AUTUMN’S GOLDEN MAGNOLIA LEAVES IN OUR FRONT YARD
PHEEBS ENJOYED THE SUNSHINE THIS AFTERNOON AS WELL
DIDN’T MATTER THAT TEMPERATURES WERE IN THE LOW 40’S IT WAS JUST NICE TO BE OUTSIDE IN THE SUNSHINE DOING SOME PHYSICAL YARDWORK
YEP, SHE WAS NEEDING A TUMMY RUB ALRIGHT
A close call for Contessa and Colin over at 5 C's Que Pasa when an unexpected fire erupted in one of their Motorhome's overhead cabinets. Had Colin not been sitting close to the cabinet and heard the sound they might have lost their Motorhome. The cause of the fire was scary and could quite easily happen to any one of us with all our electronic gear like cameras, computers, and smart phones, etc. You might want to hop on over there and see what happened.

There's lots of single RV Gals out there driving Motorhomes and towing trailers and I have always been amazed at their stamina and fortitude in handling all the difficult things that go along with operating an RV. For example hooking and un-hooking vehicles can be a daunting physical task at the best of times. Handling a big 40' Motorhome or backing a long a trailer in whether it be a 5th wheel or travel trailer can be quite a challenge even for experienced male drivers but there's a lot of lady folks out there doing just that and showing the men just how it's done. Oh come on guys you know it's true. Everyone has to start at the beginning though and it's always nice to see someone with the courage and conviction to take on the traveling lifestyle all by themselves. Enter Ann from Travels With Towhee. She has her truck, she has her trailer, and with a new blog she is ready for the next phase of a lifestyle that has involved a lot of traveling in her past and especially by boat. Check Ann’s bio and see how she came up with the name ‘Towhee. You can find ‘Travels With Towhee’ on our side bar………………….
OUR PARK’S POND IN LATE AFTERNOON
GROANER’S CORNER:(( A kindergarten teacher was observing her classroom of children while they drew. She would occasionally walk around to see each child's artwork. As she got to one little girl who was working diligently, she asked what the drawing was. The girl replied, "I'm drawing God." The teacher paused and said, "but no one knows what God looks like." Without missing a beat, or looking up from her drawing the girl replied, "They will in a minute."
The artist tried to concentrate on his work, but the attraction he felt for his model finally became irresistible. He threw down his palette, took her in his arms and kissed her. She pushed him away. "Maybe your other models let you kiss them," she said. "I've never tried to kiss a model before," he swore. "Really?" she said, softening, "How many models have there been?" "Four," he replied, "A jug, two apples, and a vase."
Gorilla me a sandwich will ya, I`m hungry!!
