YOU ALL IS DA BEST:))

DSC_3912

Well here we are past the middle of August already and for me I figure we are now over the hump and coming around turn four as our slow seasonal change begins.  Days are getting shorter, nights are cooler, and each morning we have a heavier dew on the ground.  It is as if the seasons momentarily stand still while summer prepares to pass the baton to Autumn.  Purple thistles in bloom and soon the Asters.  Golden Rod has reached it’s peak height as well as area corn fields.  Soon bean fields will begin to turn yellow and any time now I expect to hear the Crickets of early Autumn chirping their distinctive sound.  Cricket sounds are my fav……………..

It was a short drive for Pheebs and I again this morning as we made our way out around the northeast side of Goderich.  Nice enough day going on but couldn’t quite get myself into my usual enjoyably good back country road mood.  Some morning’s are just like that and thankfully they are few and far between.

SAW A COUPLE HEADS BOBBING UP OUT OF A FIELD QUITE A DISTANCE AWAY AND IT WASN’T UNTIL I LOOKED AT THE PHOTOS LATERA THAT I SAW IT WAS A COUPLE WILD TURKEYS

Finding myself still in RV clean-up mode I figured I had better strike while the iron was  hot and my energy levels were up.  Succeeded in finally emptying every basement bin in the Motorhome and vacuuming each one out.  Moved everything into the carport where I will go over things and prioritize what will go with us this winter and what will remain behind.  In other words we will be traveling much lighter than the last few years when when we were hauling things down to our house in Congress Az.  I always enjoy re-organizing stuff.  And yes I know it may be a bit early for all this stuff but while I’ve got my RV hat happily on my head it is better I do this now while I feel like doing it.

I ALWAYS ENJOY SEEING HOW  MANY FARM FOLKS HAVE LANDSCAPED THEIR FRONT YARDS WITH FLOWER BEDS

In tonight’s photos the first and last pictures are of the same cow from the same angle except there is a subtle difference between the two photos.  Wonder if anyone noticed it.  Might have to do with something missing in one of the photos.

THIS OLD BARN PHOTO WAS TAKEN IN BEN MILLER ONTARIO

A word of thanks to everyone again for all your support over this past decade of blogging.  I don’t know when or where this blog of mine will end some day but in the meantime just a simple and very grateful thank you to everyone for sticking with me and giving me the inspiration to keep my blog going.  You all is da best:))

GROANERS CORNER:(( A Few Witticisms::

- I can please only one person per day. Today is not your day. Tomorrow isn't looking good either.
- I love deadlines. I especially like the whooshing sound they make as they go flying by.
- There are very few personal problems that cannot be solved through a suitable application of high explosives.
- Tell me what you need, and I'll tell you how to get along without it.
- I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem.
- My Reality Check bounced.
- On the keyboard of life, always keep one finger on the escape key.
-I don't suffer from stress. I'm a carrier.
- You're slower than a herd of turtles stampeding through peanut butter.
- Everybody is somebody else's weirdo.
- Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.

An old guy was working out in the gym when he spotted a sweet young thing.  He asked the trainer that was near by, "What machine in here should I use to impress that sweet thing over there?"
The trainer looked him up and down and said, "I think you should try the ATM in the lobby."

The teacher was giving her class of seven-year-olds a nature history lesson. 'Worker ants,' she told them, 'can carry pieces of food five times their own weight. What do you conclude from that?' One child was ready with the answer, 'They don't have a union?'

  4. Always good to finish a task while the mood is on. I find the same task to be a joy or burden depending on how I am feeling about it at the time. Cleaning guns and mowing the yard come to mind. We look forward to each post like a daily cartoon, saddened when it is not there. I sure many others feel the same. Did you edit out one white hoof on the horse? Looks like he has white walls and had a blowout and has his spare on.

  6. Super new blog header photo. And the raking light across the barn siding. Always a pleasant surprise seeing what you have for all of us each day, and the views and quips on the different worlds you inhabit.

  10. The turkeys are hysterical - such weird looking critters! We're the same way about needing to act when we are "feeling it" or the job doesn't get done later. Hard to believe we're coming to summer's end in another month. Wonderful to watch the seasons change in your pics too :-)))

  11. Wow...great job on the editing! I never would have caught it.

I always say your blog is best enjoyed in a recliner when I can give it my undivided attention. I don't ever want to hurry through it. 😊
