Really enjoying these cooler early morning temperatures and so much so Pheebs and I were out the door before 8 am.

Our travels this morning took us over to the Hullett Marsh where we made our first stop. From there we headed north wandering around willy-nilly keeping an eye out for anything remotely interesting. Circumvented Blyth and Auburn keeping off the paved roads and away from clusters of civilization. Stopped at a few of our favorite spots along the way but by 10 o’clock I could feel the day’s humidity building so it was off for home with us. Luckily it was fine with just the Jeep’s windows down and we didn’t have to kick on the A/C. We were home shortly before 11.

My Aputure Macro Tube set comes in 3 detachable sections of 12mm, 20mm, and 36 millimeters. Today I tried out the 12mm tube on my Nikon D3100 with a 55mm lens. Took me about a dozen shots to get a handle on the right camera settings etc. Photos below were taken in our front yard of some leaves and flowers. All shots were hand held and I can see where I had better get my tripod dusted off for sure. Photos aren’t the best but at least it’s a start I am satisfied with. These macro tubes can be used with all my lenses so I have lots of experimenting to do for different effects. Macro photography opens up a whole new world of opportunities as long as one has the patience and interest to stick with it.
Don’t know why it is I seem to have problems commenting on people’s posts who use Word Press but I do. Posted comments to both Janna and Rhonda's blogs but the comments didn’t show up. Frustrating when one takes the time to compose a meaningful comment then it vanishes into thin air!!
With the daily political 3 ring circus going on full tilt south of the border I must admit the television spectator sport has once again unfortunately stirred my interest and dragged me back to my old television habit of keeping up with the news. If one can call it news that is. What a mess. Come on America you are better than all this……………..
Today's miserable humidity kept me grounded in the house all afternoon and we were finally forced to fire up our air conditioning. Sooooo much looking forward to our cooler Autumn weather. Counting the days to cooler dry bug free air again.
GROANER’’S CORNER:(( Mr. Bailey saw his son's shiner and demanded, "Scott, who gave you that black eye?" "No one gave it to me dad," replied the spunky lad. "I had to fight for it."

A blonde was at home watching TV with her friends when she heard a noise. She ran out just in time to see a thief drive off in her car.
"Did you see their face?" her friends asked when she came back inside. "No, but it's okay - I got the license plate number!"
Razor hands, this is a stick up!
