SLOWLY ON THE MEND

thumbnail_IMG_20161024_0834592

It has been a very rough 3 days but I think I Just may be finally coming out whatever this is that snuck up and unexpectedly clobbered me late last Saturday.  I will go into that more in the coming days but for right now I want to say thank you to everyone for their well wishing comments and emails.  Appreciate the offers of help and many suggestions.  You guys are the best.  As long as I don’t have any kind of nasty set back I’m hoping to have these old blabber fingers of mine fired up again for a regular Tuesday night post.  Don’t know where it will be from, maybe in West Virginia somewhere or maybe a little further on down the road.  Thanks again for all your thoughts everybody:))

GROANER’S CORNER:)) I will seek and find You . . I shall take you to bed and have my way with you.  I will make you ache, shake & sweat until you moan & groan. I will make you beg for mercy, beg for me to stop. I will exhaust you to the point that you will be relieved when I'm finished with you. And, when I am finished, you will be weak for days. All my love……The Flu

  5. You sure do look snugly with all your company there, keeping you warm. Geez, I sure hope tomorrow is a better day for you, Al! Did you get the flu shot this year? I always do, but decided not to this year. After reading all you posts and seeing you still under the weather, I wonder if I should rethink my flu shot plan for this year. :( I hope tomorrow brings a better day for you.

    1. One of the last things my Nurse Practitioner asked me a couple weeks ago was, "would you like a flu shot"? And I said......no:((

  8. Not much worse that having the flu, especially if you don't have sewer hookups. :)

  9. Flu shots were on our agenda for this week but it caught me on Saturday too. I had to manage with a fleece blanket seeing as I don't have a cuddly Pheebs! Like you, today am feeling almost back to normal. Not fun.

  10. I don't get flu shots and so far have been lucky. The shot doesn't protect against very many strains of flu to begin with. You just had bad luck and picked up a bug along the way. Take care and hope you are soon back to your normal traveling self!

  13. Al, so good to see you all snugled up in your recliner and soon you will be "King of the Road" again. Flu-shots? I have never taken any and will never do so either. I want to maintain my natural immune system which has always kept the flu away from me.Looking forward to reading about your next posts - down the road.

  17. I take flu shots every year...had to when I taught school so just continued doing it after retiring. Haven had the flu in 50 years! That was when I was 16... I'm getting old!

  18. We've taken the flu shot for years, as Diana was a teacher and I was a manufacturing general manager. We were around a lot of people. We are glad we got it this year, as we are around a lot of folks at Amazon in Kentucky this fall...and several have been sick.

Glad you are on the mend, Al!
