KELLY HAS A GREAT TIME WITH HER GRANDDAUGHTER ELLA

DSC_0004-001DSC_0002-001

I STOOD QUIETY FOR AWHILE BESIDE THIS YOUNG POPLAR TREE LISTENING TO A MORNINGS BREEZE RUSTLING THROUGH THE LEAVES

Blowing gently out of the east a soft morning breeze rustled a young Poplars leaves.   Wandering alongside a ripening cornfield Pheebe and I followed a grassy laneway leading off to a distant forest. All around us the chirping of Autumn’s Crickets while  high overhead wispy skiffs of light gray clouds drifted slowly across a pale blue sky.DSC_0011-001

CAME ACROSS A SWARM OF SEA GULLS

AND HERE’S THE REASON FOR ALL THE SEAGULLS IN THE FIELD…..MANURE

It wasn’t a long Jeep ride this morning and we had come directly to the Marsh for a short walk before returning home.  Just long enough to catch a few photos and enjoy our scenic countryside.

Back home I puttered about in the yard for a bit, grabbed a shower and waited for our company to arrive.  Rebecca, Ricardo, and little Ella rolled in shortly after noon.

RICARDO AND KELLY IN THE MOTORHOME

Not often our house is the hub of activity but with an active 3 year old our day very quickly shifted into second gear.  Lots of laughs, eats and photos.  It’s not that often Kelly gets to spend time with her Grandkids but she sure enjoys them when she does.  Ella and Kelly had quite a time today playing Little Miss Dress-up and it was really nice to see Kelly so happy and bubbly.  And speaking of bubbly happy the Pheebs was having herself a total blast as well racing around all over the place snitching snacks and jumping on people whenever she could.IMG_0261

JUST A CARRYING ON LIKE CRAZY

Every year at this time the town of Zurich just south of Bayfield has it’s annual Bean Festival week-end and every year an old friend from my home town who I grew up with travels from Kitchener to the Bean-fest then drops around to say hello on his way home.  Craig Wilker and Shirley dropped around about 5 o’clock and it’s always good to catch up on things and reminisce about old times.

PHEEBE HELPS ELLA CLEAN HER PLATE

Rebecca and Ricardo headed into Bayfield for a late night supper at a Bayfield Eatery called Drift while Ella remained with Kelly, Pheebs and i to keep us entertained.  And a fine job she did too.

I LOVE YOU ELLA…..I LOVE YOU TOO DAD

Sleeping arrangements were finally figured out with Rebecca and Ricardo sleeping in the Motorhome, Kelly and Ella in the house and me out in the woodshed with the wheelbarrow.  A good day was had by all and it was nice having something happening aside from our usual every day routine.

RICARDO’S MOM SENT A SPECIAL PRESENT FOR KELLY ALL THE WAY FROM VALENCIA SPAIN AND I THINK ELLA IS PRETTY EXCITED ABOUT THAT

  5. Always wonderful to have an infusion of family and children to fill a home with energy. Darling photos of all. The "love you" one is very special, and one I'm sure the two of them will treasure. Nothing better than dress-up :-)))))
