NOT MUCH TO WRITE ABOUT:((

DSC_7158

With not a lot going on these days I’m a little hard pressed to think of things to write about & my photos around the house & property are getting a bit repetitive.   Only thing I can tell you about today is that I planted Renee’s cactus plus potted a lot of the small arms that fell off it.

LUCKILY I HAD LOTS OF PLASTIC POTS AROUND

Jodee from ON THE ROAD ABODE asked in a comment question. “Did I miss a post where you've decided not to sell the little place, or are you just relaxing for a few weeks before making that move”?…………We are still in decision mode Jodee.

GROANER’S CORNER:(( The psychology instructor had just finished a lecture on mental health and was giving an oral test.
Speaking specifically about manic depression, she asked, "How would you diagnose a patient who walks back and forth screaming at the top of his lungs one minute, then sits in a chair weeping uncontrollably the next?" A young man in the rear raised his hand and answered, "A basketball coach?"

  2. Al, your pictures bring peace to my soul every evening. Thanks for posting them, even when you don't feel like "talking". Enjoy your little southwest abode.

  3. I agree with what Laura said. Your posts make my world better. Doesn't matter what you say. Just touching base-- letting me know that all is well with my favorite "Bunch" is what counts. Thanks!

  4. If I may........... I suggest that you make the desision whether to sell or not at the end of the season. If the winter wasn't fun then sell. If it was then remember that when you start getting ready to head south next fall and think it's not worth it.

Personally I think you will be making a mistake to sell it now that you are still in good enough health to enjoy it.

  5. Maybe sit down together and make a list of pros and cons..goods and bads if you sell. MacGyver says you can never spend too much time in the planning stages..probably why we still have our 9 year old Hiker.

    1. The way I look at you posting with not much to say is the old phrase "No news is good news!" It is still nice that you touch base with those of who follow your blog. Having your own place in Congress is an inspiration to me, from someone who has not travelled yet and going full-time next year........all options are open. I love the baby cactus pottings. Do you actually have dirt in Az as it looks like it in the wheelbarrow? Funny how naive we are from this part of the world!

  7. What a tough decision… whether or not to sell the Congress House. On the one hand, I love the idea of having a place to spread out down in warm winter sun… someplace like your's where you can hike right from the front door or take a short drive to new territory. On the other hand, would I just end up working on the place, fixing it up, perfecting it, instead of exploring and getting out.
The ideal seems to always lie somewhere between two extremes, and it seems like that's what you have achieved. I vote (not that you asked) "Keep It."
    For what it's worth,
