BLOG EXPLANATION & WILL POST TODAY’S GREAT JEEP TRIP WEDNESDAY

DSC_0106

YOU CAN SEE WE HEAD US SOME FUN TODAY:))

I do have a rough draft of today’s post written & I do have most of today’s 186 photos whittled & edited down to nearly a hundred but I just ran out of time & energy tonight.  Wednesday night’s post will be about our great Jeep trip today.  Today’s post is just mainly an explanation of how I have temporarily screwed up my Blog’s appearance.

I sure messed up my Blog template Monday night.  Had seen where Cheryl Ann at DEEP CANYON had changed her background to a nice rustic wood look so I went looking for that to try it out on my blog.  Don’t ask me what I did but I guess I had a ‘Senior Moment’ & clanked when I should have clicked & totally clunked my blog.   Just some stupid stuff causing me to irretrievably lose my old template….forever!!  Ended up with some horrible green & blue look until Kelly came to my rescue & found me another template reasonably close to the original customized one I’ve had since 2007.  Problem now is I haven’t been able to access the customizing tools to change the font size & color plus the header title etc. etc.  Keep getting a bx-dufjc7 error message.  Once I can access the customizing tools I know how to make the changes I need to make to my blogs look.  I definitely need to enlarge that hard to read small printing for sure.  Kelly feels confident she can resolve the ‘error message’.  Me….well I was convinced Monday night after seeing a green/blue blog appear with most of my sidebar missing my blogging days were over.  Thought all the stuff on my sidebar including fellow Blogger’s posts & archives were gone forever.  I was about ready to grab the anchor & jump overboard.  Thoughts of packing up my camera gear & stuffing it all back in the closet & resigning myself to a life of horribly boring mind numbing night time television raced through my head.  Eeeeee Gads!!!!  Anyway, I’m pooped & that’s it for today.  See y’all tomorrow night again………:))

GROANER’S CORNER:((  Food Quips::

- Artichokes are just plain annoying.  After all the trouble you go to, you get about as much actual 'food' out of eating an artichoke as you would from licking thirty or forty postage stamps.

- The most remarkable thing about my Mother is that for 30 years she served the family nothing but leftovers. The original meal has never been found.

- I've been on a constant diet for the last two decades. I've lost a total of 789 pounds. By all accounts, I should be hanging from a charm bracelet.

- Told my doctor I get very tired when I go on a diet, so he gave me pep pills. Know what happened? I ate faster.

- I will not eat Oysters. I want my food dead.   Not sick, not wounded, – dead!!

- Watermelon -- it's a good fruit. You eat, you drink, you wash your face.

- Old people shouldn't eat health foods. They need all the preservatives they can get.

Q: How did the red head burn her nose?
A: Bobbing for french fries.

  1. I'm glad you explained the change in your blog template. It just doesn't look like something you would choose, and I hope you can get close to your "old look".

  2. Al, I had trouble with one of my other blogs. I believe it has something to do with the template that you've chosen for your blog. I couldn't even access the decorative background that I had for Deep Canyon! I had to clear everything and delete my "Cutest Blog on the Block" template and choose a simple white one. THEN and only THEN was I able to retrace my steps and pick a soft green background with some yellow grass. Phew! Like you, I thought I'd done myself in! It just took time. You can also google the predicament you are in and some forums will provide you with the steps you need to take to continue on...

  3. That's why my profile shows I have two blogs. One is my 'test' blog where I play with the layout. Once I have it how I want, I move it over to the real blog. I need everything set up so my basic 'opps' factors don't cause problems.

  4. Good luck with recreating your template, too bad you did not bad up the other one first.

  5. This predicament sure proves that you are correct about background color and font size! The photos are excellent as always but just don't "pop" off the page like they do on the black - and the big font is always a welcome break for my older eyes. Have fun spending the day inside bloggerland.

  8. Sure glad you posted about this. I've wanted to change things around for a long time and was afraid to blogger being what it is. The idea of a test blog is a good one but don't you have to publish it to make sure it looks like what you want when it is on line? Gorgeous pictures even if the template isn't exactly what you want.

  9. I've been wanting to "upgrade" my blog looks... but truth is, it took me forever to get it the way I (pretty much) wanted it, that I'm afraid to try anything. Mine already says I have gadgets that don't work and things like that. I think about what attracts me to blogs and brings me back to them each day... probably content (some people can make cleaning the bathroom interesting), then photos (big enough to see) and layout comes in 3rd. But I may be in the minority....

  10. Yep, you have convinced me.... when I get bored and want a little change or rue, I'll just go take a nap and wait until the feeling passes.

  11. It's the content that matters and that is always terrific! The photos of your drive and hike beg for more info. Looks like a beautiful slot canyon! Rick says there is a way to save/ backup your blog before attempting changes. I've been thinking of a new look also.

  12. What would we do without blog problems? I'd love to personalize mine more, but afraid I'd mess up everything.

  15. Hey buddy, if it were not for some unexpected computer glich every now and then, I guess we would be relegated to the boring mind numbing crap on TV. I have a love hate relationship with Microsoft and my computer.

  16. I gave up on my "Blogger" blog !! Can't get the dashboard I used to use. No "pencil" to do a new blog. Played with it, inquired via the forum, etc. PHOOEY !! It's a shame too as I was enjoying blogging. http://www.cmhl09.blogspot.com or as I've been known " Rolling Earthquake. I enjoy your blog very much.

  17. I like the larger images, The yellow on black is you.

I would like to see more line breaks and space between ideas. Just a thought. Line breaks give me a chance to absorb what is written. It may not be correct paragrph grammer, but it is like a pause when someone is talking.

You have towrite blog in a way that reflects what you want it to reflect.
