OK, HERE’S THE HAIR & BEARD PICS BUT DON’T SAY I DIDN’T WARN YA…………………

NICE TO SEE THE BRITTLE BUSHES BEGINNING TO BLOOM

Commenters Ruth & Pam inquired about Dally.  We saw Dally three days ago in her yard & she was as excited & jumping as high as ever.  Haven’t seen her the last couple days.  Her owner has been taking Dally with her to Wickenburg some days & that might explain us not seeing her the last couple mornings.  Last we saw her she was being loaded into the back of a pick-up truck………

MAMA KEEPS AN EYE ON HER RECENTLY NEW BORNS

When Kelly finished cutting my hair Sunday she said, ‘we better get a picture of that for the blog’ & I said ‘no’ there’s been enough photos of me in the blog lately.  She took a couple anyway but I forgot they were in my Canon point & shoot.  That’s why no pics were included.  So with some reluctance on my part today Kelly did take a few more photos & I have included them below.  What’s left of my beard may stay or it may not.  It was an afterthought as I began chopping away so if I keep it I will have to refine it a bit.  Mike McFall over at North Ranch has a similar style beard & I always thought it looked good on him.  Of course Mike is a heck of a lot better looking feller than I am for sure………

I AM PURPOSELY LOOKING GRUMPIER HERE THAN I NORMALLY DO

THESE WERE THE 2 PICS IN MY CAMERA I FORGOT ABOUT…MINUTES AFTER THESE WERE TAKEN I SLIPPED INTO MY WASHROOM & STARTED CHOPPING AWAY AT THE BEARD

NOT BEING BORN WITH A HAPPY SMILEY FACE IT’S HARD FOR ME TO STRETCH MY STONE FACIAL FEATURES INTO A GREAT BIG SMILE…I ACTUALLY DID THINK I WAS SMILING IN THESE PICS, BUT………..

Kelly & I headed off for Wickenburg earlier this morning before the heat got up to high.  Groceries at Safeway & two quick stops at TSC & Stewart’s Hardware.  I went along to Safeway to brush up on my people socializing skills a bit.  I do that once & awhile.  Did good but of course there were not too many people in there to test my patience.  And nobody tried to mow me down with their cart.  Hey, maybe it was the haircut & the fact I wasn’t looking like the wild man of Borneo for a change.  Say, ya don’t suppose there’s some hope for me yet do ya………………….

ROSE BUSHES BLOOM IN A NEIGHBOR’S VACANT YARD

Sassy has a ‘must read’ post for all Canadian travellers to the U.S.  It is from the ‘CANADIAN SNOWBIRD'S ASSOCIATION’ & it clearly answers many of the questions travelers may have regarding lengths of stays in the States, plus some medical info & helpful do’s & don’ts at the border crossing.  Another month or so & many of us will have to be doing that border thing again.  And after reading this report did you know the border people have technology in place to hear what you are saying in your vehicle up to a mile away.  How many of us sit in our RV’s cursing the long waits & lengthy inspections of the vehicles in front of us eh.  Well Kelly does I know:))

NEW PRICKLY PEAR CACTUS PADS FORMING

And for all you talented wood working do-it-yourselfers out there just a reminder about the KAYAK PROGRESS over at John’s blog at ‘Just Finding Our Way’.  Amazes me the skill & patience these types of people have.

Les dropped by to install brackets into the cement at the base of our porch posts.  He’s one busy guy & didn’t have time to do it but left his tools for me to do it.  Drill the holes in the cement & power the screws into the holes.  Easy enough for anyone right?  Nope, easy mechanical stuff anyone can do rarely works for me & today was no exception.  I might as well go flap my arms & try flying to the Moon as to try doing anything mechanical:((

GROANER’S CORNER:((  A doctor is in the habit of having an almond daiquiri every evening on the way home. One night, the bartender finds himself out of almond extract, so he substitutes hickory instead.
The doctor complains.  Says the bartender "It's a hickory daiquiri, Doc".

She read "David Copperfield" when she was pregnant and, sure enough, when her son was born he was full of the Dickens!

I’ve been reading something very interesting — Stephen Hawking’s latest book about anti-gravity.  I just can’t put it down.

What do you get when you cross a pig and a centipede?
Bacon and Legs.

  4. Dang!

I fly into Tucson on 5 March for a week and had high hopes the scruffy Old Man would be around his Casa and pose for my much awaited picture with me.

Well I still hope to meet you in person and get my pic, even if you do look like an office manager now.

    You look 10 years younger.

  8. Definitely a great new look and a decade younger.

  9. I have to agree with the "looking younger" comments above, but I'd put it at about 15 years younger :)

  10. Lookin' good Mr. Bossence! As others have said we both also think the new beard makes you look younger.
Were the ones of Kelly in her pretty dress after her haircut?

  11. Well I like the old desert prospector AND the new spiffy sexy guy too. Lucky you to look good in both personas. This is a GREAT new look. Bet you'll find it easier to take care of too or at least less trouble. Nice job Kelly! Could you please drop by and cut David's Bozo the Clown hair?? I used to cut his hair when it was just wavy but after his treatments it came back totally out of control.

  13. Nice photos of all the pretty blooms there. Your lamb pictures reminded me of all the little ones we saw the other day on our drive out to the lake. Now, I've got to say, that new look does make you look like a younger version of your old self;))
Now the big question is...did you get any pictures with your critter cam?

  14. Gee, thanks for the compliment Al. but I think you are way better lookin that I am... But it does make you look younger,,,,,same as it does me... You see I'm really 95.

That will be a heck of a lot cooler too!!

    Take care...

  15. Hey looking good, cooler and less maintenance, thats the way I go, enjoy!

  16. Definitely looking younger - it's a great look on you! But I like the old guy with the cowboy hat too!! You should set up the self-timer and get a picture of you and Kelly together with your new looks (with Pheebs of course).

  17. Thanks for giving us the pictures we asked for. Seems to be a unanimous thought. You look way younger! Kelly looked wonderful in her new dress, too. Would love to have a picture of the two of you. With Pheebes, of course.

  18. I agree. Makes you look much younger. Both of you look very nice.

  19. I'm going with 15 years younger. Do you think they'll let you back into Canada? You undoubtedly look nothing like your ID photo.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Al ... I think you have lost that 'cowboy' look. Did Pheebs recognize her old owner? I also like the colorful dress Kelly is wearing, reminds me of my tye-dye days...too many years ago.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I was going to ask yesterday about photos of the new 'you'!..
must say you do look years younger and as handsome as ever!!!

    ReplyDelete
  22. my first thought when I saw the final result......"this guy looks like a very rich man... I wonder how he made his money?" haha! for real thats what I thought..... you clean up well. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  23. Hey Al...your new "face do" rocks!
Makes you look like a "young, cool, handsome dude"!

    ReplyDelete
  24. I can't believe how much younger you look with less hair and beard, especially less beard. I'm of the opinion that a beard will age any and all men, no matter how old (or young) they are. I think you look great!

    ReplyDelete
  25. I thought I'd be the first to say you look younger. Of course I'm not. It is true though! Looking good!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Hey Al - nice new look. I really did not recognize you. You and Kelly are really stylin' now! ! Becki

    ReplyDelete
  27. WOW! You both look awesome. Next thing we know you'll be going out for a night on the town at some crowded night club. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  28. So, Al...who's that guy? Is that YOU? My gosh...you sure cleaned up! And, I, too, loved Kelly's new dress. You two should have a night out in town! :-)

  29. WOW!!! The transformation is amazing and looks great Al!!!

    ReplyDelete
  30. I like the trimmed look! Now for that toothy smile....

    ReplyDelete
  31. You looked just fine in the befores but now you are smoking hot!!!

Hope Kelly appreciates the fact that she will have to keep an eye on you from now on. Some yong thing just might to haul you away.

Love the new look on you both.

    ReplyDelete
  32. WOW and Hubba Hubba! That is a flattering do right there.

    ReplyDelete
  33. After reading the comments, I see that all I was about to say has been said. But the words I like most are SMOKIN HOT!

You and Kelly are such a neat, cute couple.

    ReplyDelete
  34. WOOT!WOOT!..THAT HAIR AND BEARD JOB TOOK ABOUT 20 YEARS OFF YOU , AL!! A.K.A. MR. STUDMUFFIN!!

  36. Hey there handsome! Kelly you done good!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Nice do..looking very spiffy indeed! Since I'm catching up, also good looking jammies, and Kelly looks great in that beautiful dress she got in Sedona.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Very nice haircut on Kelly and haircut and beard trim on Al. You both look very nice.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Looking good! I think you look ten years younger; at least one anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Well I was leaning to the 20 years younger looking.... you two sure make a awesoe looking couple. But I also agree with some of the others in the fact I like the ole cowboy look too.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I really like your shaggy look - long hair and a beard has always worked for me. But Geez! You are one good looking dude under all that hair. You look like my son! He has the same hair and beard. I'll bet Kelly feels like there's a new guy in town. :))

    ReplyDelete
  42. I must add. I think you look very handsome as well Al. Great job Kelly.

    ReplyDelete
  43. You clean up good! and I must say you look younger,I'm sure Kelly enjoys looking at that handsome face!
