ONE PROJECT COMPLETED TODAY & ANOTHER ONE COMING UP MAYBE WEDNESDAY

DSC_8282

Had ourselves a bit of a busy morning lined up & of course a big swatch of humidity had to move in & turn it into a real cooker. I didn't do our morning walk because I knew the bugs would be bad & I didn't want to end up feeling like a big ball of sticky paste. Besides, I had furniture to move.

Had our living room cleared except for 2 recliners & our TV entertainment center thingy. Chris, a friendly personable fella from GAVIN CLEANING & DISASTER RESTORATION rolled in right on time & started with our living room carpet first.  No, we didn't have a disaster or need a restoration but we did have a carpet & loveseat in need of cleaning. Both items were way overdo for a professional touch.

THAT TRUCK OF CHRIS’S IS QUITE A SET UP
Great job on the carpet & loveseat recliner & we could notice quite a difference right away. Took Chris about an hour & half to complete the job. Nice feeling to have a couple more things stroked off our 'to do' list. DSC_0017

WORKING UP SOME STEAM

AND WORKING UP SOME SWEAT IN THE MOTORHOME DOING THE LOVESEAT RECLINER

Next little job will be the taking down of a few pine trees around the property. A tall pine standing right beside the rig & Jeep died this summer & we suspect termites. The tree has to come down now because the bugs are chewing it up & covering our vehicles in sawdust & pine needles. I'm worried their frenzied munching will weaken the tree to a point soon where it could break & topple right down on top of Winnie the Bago or our little Jeepster. There's a chance those trees might be coming down Wednesday or Thursday. Like I said before, nice to be busy.

IT IS THE TREE WITH THE THERMOMETER & LIGHT ON IT THAT HAS TO COME DOWN

To hot to take Pheebers with me when I headed off to Goderich to run a few errands.  I’m not one much for popping into more than a couple stores at any one given time but this morning I hit Walmart, Canadian Tire, the Solo gas bar, Food Basics, Home Hardware, & the TSC store.  That’s gotta be a record for me.  Takes a lot of patience for this fella to haul himself in & out of that many stores in one outing.

By 3 this afternoon we had all our furniture moved back into the living room. Pheebs was contentedly asleep on her Nauga Monster couch & all again was well. We didn't venture outside at all because of the heat. No wonder the weather channel had issued a humidex & heat advisory for today. In my opinion it was brutal out there. With 88F showing on the computer's weather page it meant we were 25 degrees hotter than Congress Arizona at 4 p.m. Ontario time. Toronto was the hottest spot in Canada with temps in the mid to high nineties pushing the humidex factor to well over 100 degrees. Wednesday is to be a repeat weather performance.  Think I’ll be sticking pretty close to my 3 bladed fan & A/C tomorrow.  Luckily this heat wave is short lived & should be moving out of the area sometime late Wednesday.  I have my fingers crossed I will not have to complain about this heat & humidity again now until next summer sometime.  Was that a collective sigh of relief I just heard out there…………………:))

THESE TWO BUMS ALMOST LOOK TOO COMFORTABLE

Kelly had an appointment with her Bayfield Doctor today & went over some of her latest test results.  Her latest Echocardiogram a week ago shows she still has some fluid around her heart.  Fortunately it doesn’t bother her but says she can sometimes feel it.  Other than that things are looking on the up & up.  Still waiting for an appointment call from the Liver specialist in London Ontario.  Kelly is feeling great, her weight loss has stopped, her energy levels are back up & she is back to her old self at last.  Not saying she is old of course but she is definitely back to her self:))

BAYFIELD’S LAKE HURON AT DUSK

GROANER'S CORNER:((  A skydiver is enjoying his free-fall, when he realizes that he has reached the altitude where he must open his parachute, he pulls the ripcord, but nothing happens. “No problem,” he says to himself, “I still have my emergency chute.” So he pulls the ripcord on his emergency parachute, and once again, nothing happens. Now the man begins to panic. “What am I going to do?” He thinks. “I’m a goner.”
Just then, he sees a man flying up from the earth toward him. He can’t figure out where this man is coming from or what he’s doing, but he says to himself, “I hope he can help me. If he can’t, then I’m in real trouble.” When the man gets close enough to him, the skydiver cups his hands and shouts, “Hey, do you know anything about parachutes?”
The man coming up cups his hands and yells back, “No! Do you know anything about lighting gas stoves?”

  3. Great news about Kelly.

I hate that about the tree and the termites. You sure don't want them to spread to the house. Good thing to take it down!

  10. It has cooled down considerably here in the Black Hills of South Dakota the past 2-3 days. The high yesterday was 66 with a low this morning of 46.
I'll be leaving those great temperatures for 5-10 degree warmer climes next week. Leaving too early once again!
