PHEEBS SPRAINS AN ANKLE

DSC_7675

ANOTHER ARIZONA SUNRISE ON GHOST TOWN ROAD

We think Pheebs twisted an ankle on Tuesday’s walk around the old Congress town site.  Noticed she was limping badly on her left side front paw after we arrived home.  Her paw itself looked & felt fine & we couldn’t see any leg swelling.  No cuts or stickers.  She wasn’t in any kind of stress other than she couldn’t walk on that leg without a limp.  We purposely did not do a walk this morning & it paid off.  By this afternoon she was doing better & we figure it is/was probably just a sprain.

OUR 24/7 HAPPY LITTLE DESERT DOG:))

We are fortunate to live in a quiet neighborhood here in Congress Arizona.  No revelers on New Years Eve.  No noisy fireworks, no gun fire, loud music or loud people.  Not so for RETIRED ROD, Loyce & poor little Biscuit over there in that Mesa place southeast of Phoenix Arizona:((

PHEEBS HAS A NEW (BUT VERY SHY) BEST PAL DOWN THE ROAD

Looks like THE GOOD LUCK DUCK Gals are having a good time in the Tucson area.  I always like to see folks out & about in the desert appreciating the beauty that is there.  I’ve never understood people pooh-poohing the desert calling it desolate & barren.  Those people obviously have never taken the time to get their feet on the ground & open their eyes & mind to their surroundings.  I’m talking about the Sonoran desert of course which can be found stretching up from the Mexican border through Tucson & Phoenix right up through our area in Congress.  If you think desert & green at the same time, your thinking of the Sonoran desert:))

A FEW OF OUR FRONT YARD BIRDS

To date I have written over 1,700 posts & out of all those, this one written in August of 2011 has turned out to be the most popular…'OH OH' THERE'S SOME NUDE GUYS IN THIS POST’. Number 2 is my 'BEST BUDDY' post in June of 2012 sadly followed by number 3 which was, 'TODAY WE LOST ANOTHER BELOVED MEMBER OF THE BAYFIELD BUNCH' in April of 2011.

Music has always been an instant time machine to the past for me & is just one of the many reasons I enjoy music so much.  I was reminded of that this morning when I stepped out of the shower to the sounds of Pink Floyd’s ‘Dark Side Of The Moon’.  Took me right back to Toronto’s CNE Stadium in the mid 90’s when Kelly & I attended a live Pink Floyd concert. Great night.  Groovy:))

Jim, in our Shout Box asked about where we had our new RV toilet installed in December 2011 & were we happy with it.  This toilet installation turned into a bit of a fiasco for us but where we had it done & what I thought about it is better explained by my 2 posts at the time…..'OH NO', AL MAKES A BIG TOILET DECISION MISTAKE & WE HAVE BEEN DE-THRONED.

FOR OBVIOUS REASONS, I AM THINKING TWICE ABOUT PAINTING THE BACK WALL OF THE SHED

I waited for the morning sun to warm up our aluminum garden shed before applying my paint brush & roller to it.  Nice to be outside feeling the warmth of the sun again.

NICE DAY TO BE OUTSIDE:))

GROANER’S CORNER:((  A man died and went to The Judgment, they told him , “Before you meet with God, I should tell you — we’ve looked over your life, and to be honest you really didn’t do anything particularly good or bad. We’re not really sure what to do with you. Can you tell us anything you did that can help us make a decision?”

The newly arrived soul thought for a moment and replied, “Yeah, once I was driving along and came upon a person who was being harassed by a group of thugs. So I pulled over, got out a bat, and went up to the leader of the thugs. He was a big, muscular guy with a ring pierced through his lip. Well, I tore the ring out of his lip, and told him he and his gang had better stop bothering this guy or they would have to deal with me!”

“Wow that’s impressive, “When did this happen?”

“About three minutes ago,” came the reply.

  3. The back of that shed looks like it will require you to have a much longer handle on your roller and also on your paint brush. Or, you could drop down from the roof on a rope, maybe. Good luck. Glad Pheebs is doing better now.
