JUST ANOTHER DAY

DSC_6803

MONDAY NIGHT’S SUNSET ALONG THE BAYFIELD PIER, BAYFIELD ONTARIO

Had the big wheels rolling about 8:15 this morning. How nice having a reason to get up & a place to go, even if it was just a few miles to a Clinton garage for a couple new tailpipes on the rig.

It was Sandie & Jim's post over at WHERE ARE THE DIXON'S TODAY that caught my attention this morning.  Sandie writes, " There is such a feeling of happiness and excitement and knowing that is what we want to be doing." That of course refers to their joy of a mutually loved full timing RVing lifestyle. Sandie's post reminded me of how well I have been keeping a tight lid on my ever present & ever restless travel yearnings again this summer.

If you have a few minutes, I recommend this excellent narrated MOON TOUR.

GROANER'S CORNER:)) If everything seems to be going well, you have obviously overlooked something.

  1. You have been very quiet about the
travel yearnings. We got away for a
few days, but it is not the same as the excitement of seeing new roads and new places.

  3. I can so relate to those travel dreams....it can be difficult some days reading all the travel blogs..wishing and hoping that one day it will be our turn..sometimes it feels like I am just a 'glutton for punishment'. Will have to check out the Moon link!

  5. Love the beautiful pictures! Have to agree with the Dixons! People ask how long (after 3 years) we are going to do this and we say, "there is nothing we'd rather be doing". After a month in Boston and Maine, we are in Quebec City today where we enjoyed a beautiful day and fantastic lunch at an outdoor cafe….

  7. Where is the pic of your new big pipes?
We had a very big agitated grizzly bear in our front yard this morning. That gave me the urge to hit the road and enjoy smaller creatures. We still enjoy your blog every day.

  8. Hope your pipes work out Al,, After 16 years of full timing I can say I enjoyed every minute of it....however we felt it was time to find where we would like to spend our "golden" years....if they ever come that is! Now we are kinda wishing we was closer to family.....'er kids. It gets further and further to Florida every year...

  9. I've got a flaky internet connection again, so appreciated a few less pictures in this post so I could read it. :)

  10. Fulltime for six years now and even without leaving Ontario for the summer months we relocate every week or two usually, it keeps the travel yearnings at bay.

  11. Dennis and I are at 2 different ends of the planet on full-timing. I would like to at least try it for one year, keeping our house, but living the full year on the road..The older I get the more I have the wanderlust..I figure, hey, it wouldn't hurt to try, right.??

  12. Beautiful Sunset photos, Al!
How is the Jif supply holding out?
Do you need a care package of more Jif to hold you until the Fall?
    We really appreciated the Shreddies!
