SOMETIMES, WHEN I REACH THE END OF THE DAY

DSC_0027

Sometimes, when I reach the end of the day I think I have nothing of interest to write about.   But, let me tell you, there is always something to write about if one has the interest, imagination, & desire.   For me, some night’s flow with lite fare & may turn out on the upbeat humorous side while others may be  more informative, down to earth, introspective & thought provoking.  Some may be angry, some may be sad.  And some may be just plain silly.  But each day is different.  And, it is that daily difference that holds my interest, keeps my imagination alive & gives me the desire to sit down each night at the keyboard regardless of how I am feeling.  It gives me a chance to get my thoughts & feelings out & that has been important to me these past few years.  I recently likened blogging to a ball game when I said, “Some days we hit a homer, & some days we just end up getting a few base hits. And, then there are the strike out days. The posts that, despite the effort, just don’t make it into everyone’s understanding. But, each day is new & the game begins anew, despite the homers, the base hits, & the strike outs.

It has been a long game & I am beginning to wonder what inning this is…………...10-4.

  2. I like the parallel of baseball games to blogging for the day...either way each day there is a game and we need to know who played!

  4. As a friend of mine once said, "sometimes we get the elevator, and sometimes we just get the shaft". That about sums it up for life's "ups and downs". Always enjoy your posts, Al. You are authentic. And a pretty darn good photographer, too. Cheers to you today.

  7. That's a pretty cool way of saying that you have nothing to say today. I think we all have those days too. Relax and have a great monday.

  10. I too suffer from "Blogger's Block" on occasion... and for some reason it's worse in the evenings so I always write early mornings while sipping coffee. My mind is quickly fills with possibilities in the mornings, but only wants to rest in the evenings :))
