KIND OF A LOST DAY

Well, try as I may tonight I just could not get myself interested in putting my Blog hat on. My creative side was dead in the water & my usual every day writing enthusiasm was nowhere to be found. I’ll just blame it on another poor night’s sleep & our cold gray damp weather & hope for a brighter creatively productive day tomorrow.

DSC_0010Did manage to get one thing out of the way this morning though.  Kelly came back from Cambridge the other day with some new material for the seats on our kitchen chairs. With scissors in hand & using the old chair seat material as a pattern, Kelly cut out the first seat cover & I went to work with my staple gun & re-covered the wood based seat. Spurred on by my stapling success, I went on to cut out the other 3 seat covers & reupholstered the rest of the chair seats. Turned out really well if I must say so myself.  Even managed to get the seats screwed back on the chairs right side up….now fancy that:))

Happy to say I have had no side effects from the pills I was given for my leg pain last week. Instructions are to double them this week so we’ll see what happens.

  1. Posting daily can leave you high and dry occasionally and nothing wrong with that. Tomorrow will bring sunshine and new inspiration.

  2. Your blog is still enjoyable even though you say nothing is exciting. Its like reading a good book.:)
On the other hand you made one mistake...not showing us the chairs you guys did. Now I have to wonder what they look like LOL or was that your plan.

  4. Well, it's better to have nothing to say and say it, than to have nothing to say, say it, and accidentally delete it. :)

  5. As much as I enjoy your daily blog I could understand if you just felt like missing a day here and there. I enjoy blogging but if I had to do it daily I would probably end up in a straight-jacket.

Give yourself a break now and then. Us faithful readers will still be here waiting for your beautiful pictures and wonderful words of wisdom.

Sit down, have a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and watch Family Guy marathon!

  9. Busy Busy Busy You take great nature pic's and recover 4 chairs and have to accept the fact 500 people are glued to you every post.
Today I discovered I still can't save changes I make to my bad pic's on Picasa 3. I could never fill your shoes. Hope those pills do the trick.

  17. Blogging every day can be slightly addicting, and you hate to miss a day because you then feel out of sync and wonder "Why not skip 2 days?"

I may have missed it, but did the doctors say why you were having pain in your leg? Are they just treating the pain, but the cause as well?

You'll never know how you inspire people with your words and beautiful photography. I don't feel that my day is complete unless I read your blog.

  22. I just want to say, as your newest follower, I very carefully waited until just the right time so I could be number 500. I began reading your blog last July at the suggestion of a good friend and It is one of the things that makes getting up in the morning so enjoyable. I can't wait to read about your adventures - even if it is simply that you aren't having a creative thought process. You write so well, as one of your earlier commenters said, it is like reading a good book. It makes me feel warm and snuggly. Than you for sharing your life and travels with us.

  24. You will have to share pictures of the chairs when you are finished!!

And taking a day off from blogging every now and then would not be a sin you know!! :) **Even though we would all miss you!!
