SPENT MOST OF THE DAY PUTTERING IN OUR MOTOR HOME

DSC_0057

AN EARLY MORNING AUTUMN GLOW IN THE POND

Had ourselves a bonus weather day for this late in October.  Sunny skies and temps around 60+F.  Figured it was a good time to turn off the outside water and drain our 3 outside garden hoses for another year.  Took a full utility trailer of pine needles to our Park's recycle area and put a few more outside things away.  We both spent a fair bit of time in the Motor Home cleaning, painting, reorganizing and loading more stuff, etc.  All and all, a productive day geared towards our upcoming travels....and that was good.

EVERY YEAR ABOUT THIS TIME I HAVE TO SLIP DOWN THROUGH THE TRAP DOOR IN OUR DECK AND TURN OFF THE OUTSIDE WATER TAPS LOCATED UNDER OUR UNIT

Mike over at PHANNIE AND MAE has a few thoughts and frustrations about the Good Sam Emergency Roadside Assistance program they are, or were….with.  Their Phaeton Motorhome has just been towed to a repair facility in Fort Worth, Texas with a yet undiagnosed problem.  Mike weaves his rant into an informative and sometimes humorous post.

KELLY TAKES CARE OF SOME VACUUMING IN THE RIG THIS AFTERNOON >>>

And, figured I had better clear up a readers question.  A couple posts ago I said, "One of my favourite periods of each day is my 20 minute morning shower time."  I should have been more clear on that saying my 'total time in the washroom' during my morning shower routine was about 20 minutes.  My actual time in the shower is maybe 3 to 5 minutes.  Twenty minutes in a shower and I would need a scuba tank.

If you have a need to catch up real quick on what the Blog Land gang is up to these days just skip on over to the Cave Dwellers place and check out Donna’s post, ADVENTURES IN BLOGLAND.  She kinda has it all summed up and it kind of looks like she has her face all summed up as well…….prepare yourself:))

THIS IS OUR PARK’S CLUB HOUSE JUST UP THE STREET FROM US…IT HAS A FULL CONCRETE BASEMENT AND IS THE PLACE WE WOULD GO IN CASE OF A TORNADO…ALWAYS LOTS OF GOLDEN PINE NEEDLES ON THE GROUND THIS TIME OF YEAR

Not a lot to say on a quiet Sunday night.  When a fella starts his day at 3 a.m. his mind is kinda like a mush ball 17 hours later.  Not really conducive to any kind of creative or meaningful thinking.   Actually, not conducive to any kind of thinking at all……….zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  1. Great water shots, Al. Glad to hear you've turned off the outside water for another year. One step closer to heading South!

  2. I decided to vacuum the rig last night at 10:45. Glad I did what with all the Swedish visitors today. :) I just wish I could find a cure for a dog that sheds a lot all year long. I hate housework...

  3. That's a lot of pine needles there at the clubhouse. Trees are beautiful but they do make a mess in the fall.

Sure hope you get south soon.

  4. Really good picture of the water and autumn colors of the trees.
Getting things together in the motorhome is one step closer to being "On the Road Again". Here's to a good night's sleep.

  5. Al, I think there is to be a really bad weather event in the 4 corners area of Utah and Colorado, this week. If you check it out, you will find that a major storm is coming from Alaska and heading for New Mexico. So had you left 8 days ago, it would be highly likely that you would have had the chance to partake in freezing rain changing to wind and snow and super cold temps. Perhaps the pine trees will not be so bad this week as you wait out the schedule changes........

  8. I think the dog breed Shar-Pei doesn't shed much...but if you think MY wrinkles are scarey, this dog's face could stop a clock..(mine is only good for slowing a clock down)
:-P Isn't it great to get in that RV, if only to do some cleaning?? I swear my whole attitude changes the minute I walk thru the Hiker door:-))))
