PUTTING AWAY THE LAWN ORNAMENTS FOR ANOTHER YEAR

DSC_0041

ALONG THE GODERICH BEACH

Nice morning so figured it was a good time to do the annual fall gathering up of all lawn ornaments.  With our freezing cold and harsh winter environment here it doesn't take long for ceramic or any outside things to deteriorate.  I will leave our yard lights and frog pond pump on for another couple weeks and then put them away as well.  If we weren't leaving in less than a month I would have left this job for sometime in mid October.

A WHEELBARROW FULL OF LAWN ORNAMENTS

So quiet in the forest again this morning as the Pheebs and I made our way around the trail.  Motor isn't as enthusiastic about morning walks anymore but she did make it around the trail with us a couple times this past week.  Sometimes when she isn't up for a longer walk, Kelly takes her for a shorter leash walk around the roads of the park and she likes that.

OUR ELDERLY NEIGHBOUR LADY DRIVES TO GODERICH EVERY MORNING AND WALKS THIS BOARDWALK WITH HER WALKER

Debra from FIND AN OUTLET has been successful in rescuing yet another neglected and mistreated young dog from a bad neighbour.  At risk to her own safety she has once again gone the extra mile to help save a poor defenceless animal from human cruelty.  I don't think there is anything that angers me greater than the mistreatment of an animal.  Good for you Debra, if only there were more folks like you.

GROANER’S CORNER:((  A conclusion is the place where you got tired of thinking.

  1. I found Debra's blog thanks to you, Al, awhile back. Reading it has surely been eye opening and sad. She is a smart, gutsy woman and I pray she stays safe. Sure does make Bisbee look different from the tourist view.

  5. Love your "Goderich Beach" photo. Spent many a day on the beaches of Lake Huron with the waves swirling around my feet and a stiff breeze tossing my hair! Thanks for the memories!

  8. Now I like that lead picture a lot.....
I hate this loading up to go south...It was much easier when we were full timing and didn't have this place. You always carried everything you owned with you, so just load 'er up and leave! Now ya gotta decide, do I want to take that or leave it....Some things aren't easy to decide, take it or leave it... Same thing from our place in AZ..... Leave it or take it? Hey, just thought of what my next blog will be about!! Thanks Al......:-)
