COMPUTER FRUSTRATIONS….I’M TAKING A BREAK!!

Well, there isn't much point in me telling you about my frustrating computer day because most of you have been through those 'new computer'
woes yourselves. Let's just say I’ve had enough of computers for awhile so this post will be photoless & short.

Morning & afternoon trail walks again today with a close eye on the heavy dark clouds. Rain finally started about 4 but Evie & I were back home in time.

Couple things.....no, we have not been paying less attention to our little Motormouse since Evie has arrived, as has been suggested. Motor is 13 now & doesn't enjoy the walks as she once did. Most mornings it takes a lot of urging to get her out & she is mainly content with just a little walk around in the driveway. Evie is full of young energy so it's generally her & I out on the trail.

Couldn't leave Evie home alone Saturday morning because we are still working on her anxiety separation. Didn't take Motor along to Goderich because I had the computer in the front seat & there isn't much room in a Jeep Wrangler. Besides, I figured Motor was needing a break from a certain high energy 2 year old. And, I did save a snack for both Motor & Evie from my Saturday bacon & egg breakfast. Hope that clears up some concerns.

Monday morning we are off to Mitchell Ontario to meet with Uncle Harry's care givers at the Ritz Villa Nursing Home. It's been a year since we met to discuss the level of his care & I'm sure a few things have changed between then & now.

Well, I've had about all I can take of this computer stuff today or maybe the next couple of days so think I'll just pull the plug right now & say the hell with it……….10-4!!

  1. New computers can be frustrating so glad you're taking a break when you need to.

I think we all knew you would save a bite of bacon for your pals...we just like to tease a bit! I know how it is with older dogs. Ours are liking a much shorter walk than they used to.

  2. What can I say, except "there, there - it will all be okay." Which, when dealing with computers, we all know is a big fat lie. Snuggle with all your girls and have a good evening.

  3. My sympathies to you on the 'new' computer setup....I certainly feel your frustrations!! Been there done that and ended up almost driving poor Rick crazy...I have no tolerance and I am certainly not a whiz around the electronics...when the screen freezes I've been known to step aside and order up a new one fully loaded..here ya go Rick you do the plugging in etc...so i can sympathize with you....
Glad to see the 'gals' are doing well...being a senior motor does not have the energy of Evie!! I'm sure motor enjoyed her alone time at home while you and evie were out Saturday...
good luck Monday at the meeting...

  6. I simply cannot imagine Cora being "neglected" with Evie's arrival! Sounds to me like the period of adjustment is going splendidly.

  9. There is sure to be a learning curve on the new computer, but you will figure it out. I have to take my Mac in for repair - one of the USB ports doesn't work. I know I'll be without a computer for at least a week or more, and I think I will enjoy it and make good use of the time.

I think it's very thoughtful of you to give the Motor some time to herself and away from the nuclear energy of a young dog. I doubt you need anyone to tell you how to treat a dog - any dog.

  10. "New computer woes?" Heck yes! But I can also brag about "old computer woes," "everyday computer woes," and "intermittent computer woes." And we know you've had all of those woes as well. Cheer up, things could be worse, and they probably will be!

  11. Poor McGuyver is left to the computer problems..I complain, he plugs his ears and tried to fix them...We are just about in need of a new laptop...We DID order a new camera, though...And I'm sure Dennis will read the 'structions, and then show me....It has 3 times the zoom as our old one, and the stabilization which my shakey hand needs for close ups!
I'm sure Cora would like a nap or two whilst Evie is galavanting..I would too!
