LOOKING FORWARD TO 'BETTER DAYS AHEAD'

MALE AMERICAN GOLDFINCH...ALL PHOTOS TAKEN IN OUR FRONT YARD TODAY
Despite sunny sky's & slightly warmer temperatures I failed to find the right mixture of motivation, interest & enthusiasm for the day.  Aside from a motorcycle ride up to Goderich's A&W for an 'Uncle Burger' I just kind of hung around my recliner a lot.  Looking forward to better days ahead........

Noticed we have 4 new blog supporters so want to welcome JAMMIN' ALONG, LYNNE & MILLIE'S WINNIE VIEWS, Doyle & Terri Johnson's FULL TIME RV ROAD WARRIORS, & Lynn-Country Heart & Roses.  Thanks for climbing aboard folks.  Always nice to have new people along.  My blog is plowing through a little rough water right now so hope you will stick around until we are once again into calmer seas under full sails.

MALE ROSE BREASTED GROSBEAK
Some readers may recall me mentioning about the heavy tax duty we got hit with (over $90) when our 6 free copies of Microsoft's Streets & Trips crossed the border into Canada about 3 weeks ago.  Joani Jones representing Microsoft's promotional agency for that free give-away promotion contacted us recently & is working on having those C.O.D. charges reversed.  Thought that was mighty nice of her to do that for us.  Four copies of Microsoft's Streets & Trips are right now in the mail to RV friends both here in Canada & the U.S.  The 5th copy we will deliver to another RV couple living near Bayfield shortly.

  1. It really is okay to sit in the recliner and cuddle with Cora. She probably needs all the attention you're able to give her. The birds are really beautiful. About all I saw today were doves, hummingbirds, and turkey vultures.

  9. Taking a ride on your motorcycle - if for nothing else - may have distracted you from your painful loss of late. I'll bet that Papa Burger was worth it though!

  10. One does think a lot about the old days upon getting older, I do. Your Tavistock was kind of a wild, no-law rural town. Bullies ruled the day. You are not alone in your feelings of not wanting to do much. These days one is lucky to have a recliner in which to sit, watch a little TV and feed the wild birds and also have memories of which past in which to dwell. My squirrels eat all my wild bird food. I am getting them a corn cob hanger and a corn cob. Best wishes to you and Kelly. There will be brighter days.

  11. Snuggling with Cora is good, all you can do is take one day at a time!

  12. Al, it's always such a pleasure to view your bird photos. I wish we had such a variety of birds here. For the most part, we have to make do with a scrub jay, some crows, maybe a robin, and certainly some sparrows. When we're out and about we always see geese, and ducks, and perhaps a heron. Never get the kind of photos that you do, though! You're a very talented photographer, Al. Always appreciate your photos so much.
