The morning was slow but picked up this afternoon. As soon as Kelly left for exercise class this morning I was busy doing dishes, vacuuming, & just generally straightening things up. No dusting though, you all know how I feel about dusting!!!! Re-laid our outside bamboo mat making sure to get rid of the sharp stones underneath this time. Fresh water tank had to be filled & the gray tank dumped. Propane truck comes on Wednesday so that will be another thing off the list.
Four people out at our little photo group this afternoon in Elfrida. Was nice to sit back & chit chat about photo things etc with Ray, Jean, & Marybeth. I will miss these folks & our Monday afternoon sessions when we leave here one day. I used to belong to various groups years ago like a camera club, a hiking club, field naturalist club, etc but have gotten away from all that club stuff over the years. But, I do like our local Elfrida photo group. We did actually belong to the Escapee RV club about 5 years ago but we let our membership lapse & just never got around to re-newing it. We're just not fire ring & rally type people.
The UPS truck rolled in late this afternoon with our 'Claw.' A few weeks ago I blogged about our satellite being blown over for the second time in high winds. MIKE McFALL emailed us suggesting we get something called 'the claw' which is guaranteed to prevent our dish from toppling over ever again. Mike said if the dish gets dumped he'll come over & personally eat the whole dish!! Yaaaay Mike.....would you like fry's with that:))
THE ‘CLAW’ ARRIVES
The blog will be short to-night because I have emails to do & tomorrow looks like a busy day.
GROANER'S CORNER:(( A group of Canadians were traveling by tour bus through Holland. As they stopped at a cheese farm, a young guide led them through the process of making cheese, explaining that goats’ milk was used. She showed the group a lively hillside where many goats were grazing. These, she explained, were the older goats put out to pasture when they no longer produced. She then asked, “What do you do in Canada with your old goats?” A spry old gentleman answered, "They send us on bus tours".
