SUNNY SKYS & WARMING DAYS

WHITE WINGS OVER THE SULPHUR SPRINGS VALLEY

It's comforting to know there are others out there who have seen Avatar & had similar feelings to mine about the movie.  I should make one thing a bit clearer though.  I have never seen an Arnold Schwarzenegger movie or any kind of an action hero movie.  Just seeing the trailers & ads for them over the years is enough to know what kind of crap these types of movies really are.

CURVE BILL THRASHER                   STILL SIGNS OF CHRISTMAS AROUND

Clear skies to-day & we didn't get any rain over night.  While in Sierra Vista Thursday we could see dark storm clouds over the Mule mountains & on our way home we saw wet pavement west of Tombstone so for sure they had rain there.

DOUBLE WINDMILLS            HUBCAPS SAID THIS WAS AN OLDSMOBILE

Kelly headed to her exercise class this morning & I headed over to meet Belle's RVing friends Jeanie & Red from California who had arrived yesterday.  Nobody out & about when I got there so fed the dogs & checked the water levels in the troughs for the horses & donkeys.  Switched out some leaky garden hoses & re-arranged some others to make watering easier.  Another friend of Belles bicycles out from Douglas now & is helping around the ranch so Jesse came in, fired up the gator & fed all the critters.

BELLE’S PUPS WARMING BY THE FIRE               FEEDING TIME

Met Jeanie & Red later & as expected, they are very fine folks.  I've been in email contact with Red for the past 3 weeks so we had got to know each other a bit before they arrived here.  Red's blogsite is called ROJOS RAMBLINGS.   Belle was having a few email problems again so we all piled in the house & I was able to get her Gmail straightened out again.  Belle has had so many people come in & change things around on her computer that it is confusing to work on.  Somebody installed Mozilla Firefox & Thunderbird email awhile back & I find that stuff very confusing.  We've used Internet Explorer with Outlook Express for about 12 years now with no complaints.  We have Gmail, Hotmail, & Yahoo email programs but give me easy to use commercial free Outlook Express any day thank you very much.

I was back home at the ranch about 1 o'clock & continued with some tree watering etc.  A quiet afternoon & I finally took the Christmas lights out of the apple tree beside the rig.  A FedEx truck rolled in about 3 with a package.  Kelly had been reading about the Hawking Directional Antennae device on the internet & ordered one. They are used for pulling in distant Wifi signals.   Some RV blogging friends have them as well.  We are still blowing the lid off our 5 Gig Verizon cap every month so we are seeking ways to cut our megabyte usage down.

GROANER'S CORNER:))  Now that I'm getting older & smarter I figure whenever I  fall down I had better figure out what else I can do while I'm down there.

  2. Loved that white wings picture. Be sure to tell us what you think of that Hawkings antenna. Would be valuable on some parts of travel time. We agree that adding systems to a computer, especially someone else's computer, is not a good idea. PCs and laptops come with enough confusing stuff on them anyway.

  4. I miss Outlook Express. When I began RVing I had to cancel my cable broadband and started using gmail. Supposedly you can have gmail sent to OE, but their directions give you a clue they really don't want you to do it.

Thanks for the tip about the Antenna - this is a very painful problem in almost every campground - the signal strength. And this 5GB cap is irritating.
As of computer program - can't agree with you more. Simple one program is the best way to go. I personally use Outlook (not Express) but I use it for much more than just email.
No lessons learned today on the farm - that means you are almost a pro!!
Getting closer! hope to meet you soon.
